Drove in low range - RT AWD

I was showing a friend my RT AWD. He commented on the low range knob and turned it to low range and I didn't know it. I got on the highway a bit later and about 5 min in to my drive I looked down and noticed. I immediately turned it back to auto.

I didn't see any lights on the dash, warnings, etc. so my question, does this do any damage? Does the D automatically turn it back to auto electronically? Anything I need to worry about?

I think if it weren't for that plastic lip on the front that simply destroys any useful approach angle (and that I am constantly worried about tearing off on some curb or something...) that the AWD version would fair fairly well as a stand in for a "real" off road vehicle. For as many parts as it shares with the JGC, I think it ought to.
