Drivetrain 'ringing' when decelerating & very cold

It's been especially cold lately here in Wisconsin (Was -10F before windchill yesterday). I have 50k now on my '18 R/T running the original fluids in the diffs and transfer case. Noticed lately that when slowing down while everything is pretty cold still I get a little bit of a harmonic ring somewhere in the drivetrain only when letting off the gas or slowing down to a stop. I have not ever noticed it in past winters, wondering if its time to get all the fluids changed?

I had the same noise in my 2016 R/T and have it in my 2019 SRT. I've taken both to the dealership to have it looked into, and was told both times that it's just typical drivetrain noise on these vehicles.

Like you, I only heard/hear it when it's cold outside, and I don't find it that intrusive. Either way your fluids should be good, but if you're at the right mileage for a fluid change, I'd have that performed.

Mine had some noise this morning I am in NE WI and we were -15 degrees without the windchill. This weekend after sitting outside up north at -25 degrees I had some faint drivetrain noise. My Durango is always garage kept so this was the first time I heard it but wasn’t too worried as the car warmed up it went away.
