Driver side brake light won't work.

Just like the title says. The bulb is brand new and I've tried three differant ones. It lights up when the lights are turned on, just not when the brakas are on. Any idea? I'm going to take it to a dealer Monday if I can't find out what's wrong.

By the way, the TBL and passenger side brake lights work fine.

Happened in my old Dak, If the bulb isn't seated all the way the metal contact inside housing can melt over time due to high resistance. Not saying this is your case, but you can inspect inside socket to see if something looks different between the other contact.
Other problem could be a broken wire/ circuit somewhere.

about the only reasonable possibilities are bad/misinstalled/incorrect bulb, bad ground, or damaged wiring.

Pull all three bulbs out of the taillight assembly and look at them carefully while you do various things (brakes on, turn signals on, etc)? If you see some filaments light dimly when they're not supposed to, or if things go on and off when they're not supposed to, then you probably have a bad ground.

There are no specific fuses or relays for the driver's side stop light?

The fuse works the whole system, since you have other lights working, look specific to the troubled side.

Sounds like a bad ground. Had that with the Alteezas. If it wasn't seated right all kinds of mishaps occurred. Turns out it was a bad ground connection. Try rotating the bulb around whilst you jam the brake pedal with a piece of wood so you can see the bulb whilst you adjust it.

:? Check the bulb socket and make sure the little ear that's on the socket is contacting the grid that's on the taillamp. I have seen many lately that have corroded and aren't making contact. Seems like this is getting to be a common problem.
