Driver seat popping/moving a bit?

Hey all! Just picked myself up an '00 D SLT 4x4 fully loaded. I've already replaced all four brakes (the rears needed a full kit and new drums!), the OEM shocks and the 31" mudder tires it came on, with something a bit more? civilized ;)

Now that she's runnin smooth and all comfy like, I've noticed that the driver seat is popping quite a bit. Any time I decel or accel the seat will pop audibly and distinctly. I'd love to figure out where that's coming from and get rid of it.

I've heard ya'll might have some tips for me? I tried searching but came up empty.

Thanks for your time!

Do a quick search on popping or front seat.
I think if you adjust the seat a little bit the feeling you get lessen, but you have to find that "right spot".
The adjuster braket sounds broke. If you have time and resources you could fix it yourself.

The popping may indeed be due to something being broken. I had the seat frame break around the one of the front bolts attaching it to the rails. I had a metal fabricartor I use weld it up. The seat itself has been known here since the early days of the forum as the rocking chair. The seat itelf has play/slop in the raise/lower linkages which causes movement. You can raise the seat up and look at the linkages as you push back and forth on the seat back. There were a few who apparently had issues with the rails moving back and forth. As I seem to recall that had varied degrees of success.
