Does ddsrt exhaust get significantly louder with time?

I have my old 2018 ddsrt (129k miles) next to my new 2022 ddsrt (2k miles). Both factory exhaust. The 2018 is a lot louder and deeper. Will the 22 get louder?

They kind of sound like the same loudness depending on how your microphone is aimed but the 22 is deeper when you first start it and the 22 burbles more than the 18. At least that's how it sounded to me. More than likely they will sound the same in time. Check the PN on the resonators and suitcase and see if they are the same. I'm sure they would be but who knows? Look on the resonators for the 4 digit numbers that end in R and L.

Bout 5K miles on my 21. Haven’t noticed any increase in exhaust volume, just sounds great!

That is some serious driving you do 25K per year

That's what I put on per year just commuting to work. Its probably the only 2 hours a day that I get alone time. Its probably my favorite time of the day - just me and my D listening to some podcasts or good tunes.

My 2018 SRT has 32k miles, and it's quieter than I recall it being when new. I know it isn't, I've just gotten used to it and am tempted to upgrade to a louder system...

My '14 R/T had just over 100k when I traded it in for the '18 SRT.
The '18 had around 66k when I traded it in for the '21 HC.
If not for COVID I'd have more than the 17k the HC currently has.
Every mile spent in it is pure joy...

What genre of tunes does your DDSRT like?

I'm still cruising in a 2005 SLT. I have a broad genre of music; sometimes Sammy Davis Jr, sometimes emo rock, sometimes rap. Depends what I am in the mood for that day.

I am currently on a kick of audiobooks, but I also like to listen to true crime podcasts, Adam Carolla, or a few other comedian podcasts. Terrestrial radio is rather repetitive, so I just stream something from my phone. Set it in the cup holder (which is a perfect fit) and let it play. Most podcasts are over an hour, so I don't have to do anything. I am using a USB BT cable to AUX with factory radio, so its primitive, but it works. One day I will buck up and invest in an aftermarket radio compatible with the steering wheel controls.

My aunt called me last week to source a head unit for my uncles 96 Chevy truck. I hadn’t bought a head unit for a long time so I went to crutchfield. It’s amazing what one can get for $300 now. Plus the ability to use car play etc. if you spend that much time in it treat yourself to a head unit upgrade you won’t regret it. Plus the aftermarket power upgrade will make your speakers sound better. Wishing you many safe miles.
Airborne!

Most likely it will get a little quieter over time as the soot builds up and “insulates” the inside of the pipe.

That can happen if you don't "blow out the carbon" constantly. :D
