Hi guys. So here's my dilemma.
I have gotten the components do upgrade the brakes on my D to SRT specs but I have a winter rim/tire set that is 18" and will not fit over those giant brakes. The set only has one winter on them, so probably less than 500 miles.
1 - do I sell the set at a loss and upgrade now and buy new ( much more expensive winter set )
or
2 - wait until spring, then upgrade and get new wheel/tire combo

What do you think?

Spring would be best but next winter same results

2 winters on mine and its no garage queen, every weekend RI to Northern New England Xmas to April and the bremobs look like the day i put them on. Just clean them when i wash the car.

Here they are untouched after 2 winters, ok the body took a hit. may have been that trip to caribou Maine 1000 miles round trip and speed limit suggested is 75.

The rears are powerstops, went through 2 sets on front both were bad out of the box, The fronts are now Stoptechs and they were perfect, getting a pulsing now at 20k

Napa pads

Sell the rims now and get the right ones. You'll be much happier with the better braking. Think of it as a safety issue as you talk it out with the better half about needing to do this now.
