The wood trim on my dashboard is peeling and I want to take it all off. What's the best way to do that? I was thinking nail-polish remover but I don't want to damage the plastic.

I have a '99 dash that you can have. no wood grain on it.

if you want to keep your dash, just sand it down with some wet-or-dry 1000 grit and poaint it body color.

what year is your D?

If its peeling, just throw it away. (how is another question.)

Replacement is a 5 minute process start to finish including the beer you drink in-between. Don't waste 10 seconds sanding anything.

I'm sure I have one or three (yes three) in the parts shed too.

My D is a '98. If I toss it, how much is a new dash? I got some new adhesive remover but I'm not sure if it will eat the plastic or not.
