This little vent trim piece is driving me nuts! Anyone else have issues with this piece popping up all of the time?

are any of the retaining clips broken/missing?
I just popped mine off a couple weeks ago to change out the center speaker, and it seemed to be pretty firmly held by the clips..

Mine did also -- but I thought it was when I swapped the dash speaker out. I'll keep an eye on it. If it keeps doing it, I'll have to swap the OE speaker back in -- before complaining.

My point exactly. Not bashing any of the fixes out there, I assume I will ultimately have to fix it my own way anyway. Just upset that there is an issue with the part. Overall happy with the fit and finish of the D interior just picky about things. I had to adjust some of the panel fit in the back of it when I first picked it up? Im sure the dealer should have caught it upon delivery. I understand when these things are going down the line one after the other every 60-70 seconds things get missed. I will address it with the dealer soon

I noticed it on mine a few days after delivery. I was able to press it down hard and it has stayed.

My 14 as well... going to put a little gorilla tape and it'll fix it up

I had this issued with my 2014 Citadel. I looked at it with an endoscope camera (only way to see what was going in with it pushed down) and it appeared the little snap/catch things weren't holding. It should snap into place, but that wasn't happening. I just swapped my 14 for a 17 GT, and was happy to see it didn't have that issue.

I just had mine replaced under warranty at the dealer... they said that the new part had about twice as many clips as the old one, so it seems that they revised the part to try and help the issue. New one looks good, so we'll see if it lasts.

I had the same problem. I pulled the end of the trim up, heated up one of the clips (closest to the steering wheel) and bent the clip back towards the steering wheel. One word of caution though, don't heat it up too much, just enough to bend the clip and it should work. it did for me.

My 2015 Citadel is now having this issue. It popped up on the drivers side while going down the road yesterday morning. It was the first cooler morning we have had so thinking what others have said that the colder temps shrink the materials enough to let loose. I’ll be checking into solutions as well.
