OK GUYS, HERE ARE PICTURES OF THE ACTUAL FINISHED PEDAL. I apologize in advance if I am not supposed to post in multiple places, but want everyone to have a shot at this if they want it. I was in contact with him directly, and he is willing to do a direct buy for us, for a limited time, with expedited shipping, which I will facilitate. He will send them all to me from Australia via an express courier in one big box, once we have a total. I will then package them into padded flat rate US mail envelopes and send them on to you guys. Anyone who wants one via this group buy will need to go to his company website, bustanut.com.au, starting TODAY. The group buy window will END on FRIDAY the 17th at 9pm PST.

When you go to his site to order, you will pay right at the time, just like any other purchase, via a secure payment portal. For the group buy, that cost will be a total of $48 US, which INCLUDES the flat rate shipping I will be doing for him. He will then reimburse me for shipping once I get the big box and forward each pedal on, which I will do within a day or two after receiving it. That keeps the costs down for all of us, compared to shipping each one from Australia, and we will get them MUCH sooner.

So, starting THIS Sunday, go to bustanut.com.au and find the Dodge Durango Truck Dead Pedal for sale. Complete your transaction no later than Sunday the 19th at 9pm PST. Everyone who signs up by that date should expect to receive their pedal by the 29th, give or take a day.

It's taken a while guys, but it looks fantastic in my opinion. He says this method of attachment has been used very successfully on several other pedals. Anyone who has any doubts about this being secure enough can simply replace his backing plat machine screws with your own stainless sheet metal screws and go directly into the floor if you want. I'm using the backing plate myself. Looking forward to getting these in soon. It's taken a few weeks, but the results are an excellent match to our Mopar Bright Pedals. Yes, these are a little more expensive than the generic ones you can find on eBay. It's custom made for our vehicle, and involves a separate threaded back plate in machine screws. He even changed vendors for the metal part because he wasn't happy with the overall quality of the first mock up, which I thought looked good. It's a quality piece, and still under the $50 estimated at the beginning, even with the extra parts.

Later, they will then be up for sale on eBay for $7-8 dollars more. Plus, that price includes the "slow boat" shipping, which takes a month or more from Australia.

Thanks everyone, STUART

Yes, and they should be arriving very soon. They got sent out last week, but from Australia so it takes longer. Shouldn't be long now. I'm loving mine. I was impatient so went down to Fastenal and bought new ones the same day I got my pedal. STUART

Were we going to be getting new screws for the install?

Just checking. Thanks!

New screws arrived in Friday's mail but haven't tried them yet. Busy with wheel project. Anybody else get their replacement screws? Bueller?

Not me; not yet. :(

Smart plan. In fact, I'd buy ALL of your planned mod's before you purchase the truck. CAI, catch can, billet, exhaust, tuner, etc... That way you won't have to explain all of the big credit card bills AFTER you start seeing a monthly car payment come through. Genius!

Got mine today as well. One problem my envelope was destroyed, only missing 2 of the shorter ones so it wont matter

Mine arrived today also....haven't opened it yet but I'll get around to it later this week (the install).

Thanks!

Sorry about that. Somewhere between Australia and here, it may have been lost or hijacked. May still show though. Mail is weird sometimes. Screws are about .45 cents each if you're done waiting, if you have a good hardware store.

Stuart this is a Great Mod, I will tell you that it is well designed and works great. Now I will say that this is no walk in the park! I used the longest screws since they seem to make it easier to catch the back plate. One you get 2 screws in diagonally it gets easier. It may be easier for let's say SKINNY guys.
Pic soon

Steve, agreed. The key is longest screws. If someone hasn't received screws yet (lost in transit?) or is still having a hard time getting them started, I'd get even longer ones from the hardware store (they're only about .45 each) so they can guide the screw into the backing plate with their fingers easier. Can always switch out to shorter ones one at a time after it's all tightened down, to hold alignment, but not really necessary. I'm 6'4" and 280, so I hear you brother, about accessing awkward spaces, especially with achy knee and a bum shoulder! STUART

Looks nice Steve. Much harder than Velcro, but that thing isn't going anywhere! Also, I like your modified signature line. Nice nod to the F&F movie series, and fits our Forum's tone. Some others are pretty dead compared to this one, and I especially appreciate the positive tone you and the other moderators make sure is maintained here. My 17 year old son is in a Mazda group that is the same way. Thank you.

Well I got around to installing this dead pedal today. Took over an hour...and I still can't get one screw placed correctly.

Its solid and isn't going anywhere...but I can't get the top right screw in place. I just can't get it to match up...sooo close. I'm going to try again tomorrow.

Very good quality and it looks great. I'll get a pic tomorrow.

Wanted to get this done...leaving on a 5500 mile round trip out west in 2 weeks!!!

Unxpctd, have a great trip! Weird about the last screw, as it should be the easiest one. Maybe try a longer one, so it's easier to see if your angle is off? I ended up buying my own screws, as I was too impatient to wait for the others. I used 14mm long ones, and was able to do it in 30 minutes. I think that was the difference, as I could see my angles better, and get my finger I between the back of the carpet and the backing plate as I was inserting screws. Anyone having trouble may want to consider that. I've had mine in since the day after they were delivered, and really like it. Vacuumed today and was glad not to have that area of carpet all ground in from my foot. Safe trip.

Finally got the last screw to take and its fully installed now.

I ended up ditching the small allen wrench that came with the kit (works good just had issues with the last screw).

I used a small mini screwdriver set I've had awhile (off of Amazon for like $10). Worked much better.

Thanks again for setting up the group buy and all the work that went into it. The quality of the dead pedal is great.

I'm going to have a busy week but will get a pic posted next week after I start my vacation. I'll snap one while I'm snapping photos at 10 National Parks :)

I found it easier to use a T handle Allen Key

Steve and Unxpctd, good advice in the install tools. I used a screwdriver style Allen key as well. Forgot to mention on the how to. STUART

some have cut the mat in that area

I guess I'd hate to do that, those mats were expensive. I think it will look good with just the 3 pedal covers. Ive gotten the gas and brake on, it wasnt easy. For the brake i started at the bottom and worked up, then used a screwsdriver to pry over the top lip. The go pedal was easier, start at the bottom and clip 2 on with the cover slide about 3/4 way off the pedal down (have to remove mat for this). Then slid up keeping tab engaged on the outboard side. Got it to click on looks nice, like everyone on here. Will tackle the e-brake cover when it gets here - any tips appreciated !!!!!
