My first thought was wondering if you replaced the water pump gasket as well. The gasket is shown in the picture below. When I purchased one from the Dodge dealership it came with the gasket. I do know some will sell it separately.
After the second time, I would have spent the extra money for the Mopar part from the Dodge Dealer. Last year I bought one for about $160. The Mopar part number is: 68311108AE
This price is if you buy it online at Mopar dot com and picking it up locally. If you were to walk into the dealership's parts department and ask to purchase the part it would be the full price (MSRP).
When I changed the water pump in our vehicle, I also replace the plastic crossover with an aluminium one made by Dorman (part number 902-3102HP. It cost me about $30 online. See the picture below.
I also replaced the plastic thermostat housing with an aluminium one (pictured below). I used the Dorman model number 902-3035HP. I didn't use the actual thermostat that came with it, however I used the Mopar one as I heard about lots of issues with other brands of thermostats.
Finally, here is a video from Gates about their water pump. Which might have the weep hole mentioned in the video.
