I was wiring for a dash cam and for the first time noticed this little black piece of plastic at the top of the windshield. It has some holes in the bottom, so possibly a vent of some sort? I‘ve searched and can’t find what this is (see pic). Hopefully someone can tell me. Appreciate it!

Thats either the forward facing camera for the safety/security package you have, or the moisture sensor for the automatic wipers

I believe the sensor/camera for the safety crap, is in the lower middle of the front bumper. I'll cast my vote for the "whomidity" sensor for the HVAC. At least, that's where it is on my '14 Charger RT.

I used to work for Safelite and we have to take these down and replace them when done it’s the humidity sensor the rain sensor on FCA products is almost always in the rear view mirror housing
