I've never ordered a Durango, but my past experience with ordering other vehicles is you can have a VIN as soon as a couple weeks or it might take a month. Depends on how busy the build schedule is. I've had some vehicles take several weeks and one that was on the lot 21 days after placing the order. Just depends on where your order falls in line. My guess is that right now with 18 production ramping up, it might take a little longer than if you were to order toward the end of a MY run.

 

I ordered mine August 1st and still today(Sept 26th) they are saying I am still in 'BX' status with no VIN number and the dodge fleet reps wont tell them why my order is stuck on BX.
I'm getting very frustrated.

IIRC the VIN is issued when you have a firm build commit - meaning all the parts are scheduled.

When I ordered my '14 GC, I had a VIN in 6 days.

 

Building fast now. Took 5 days to get vin and 5 more days to build. Had a priority level of 01 on POC...not sure if that matters

 

When did you order?

 

I confirmed with dealer that he's ordering mine today. We'll see how long it takes to hear back.
