That's a good deal Steve. Got mine from SHOX.com a year ago for about the same price. How about some more insight on the workings of the Superchip Programmer with the 4.7L and a possible group buy??!! :]

I'd jump on 'em but, I already have Bilsteins. I bought mine off eBay two years ago. Can I get them at that price for my wife's Explorer?

Brakes and Superchips

I'll work on the Brakes and Superchips issue ASAP
I know I can probably get the brakes but the Superchips will probably require a minimum amount of buyers

Hi Steve,

This is an amazing over for sure! I have Rancho RS9000X on my D, so I won't take advantage of this offer. Nonetheless, thanks a bunch for always being on top of things!!

Cheers,
Nico

Just an update:

Price has gone up to $260 shipped as of this date.

Just bought a set for my 99D. Should get them by Monday. Had to pay an additional 8.25% sales tax because Shox.com is located in CA where I live, but they had them in stock, while Shockwarehouse.co in FL didn't. Needed them NOW, so just bought despite the higher cost.

I'll see how they affect the D's handling and will also add a pair of Hotckiss sways if the Bilteins don't do a good enough job of improving the D's handling in the turns.

Well there are some on eBay here for $239. Not sure if the HD shocks are what you were going for.
Just checked them out. Same part numbers, but extra $19 for shipping puts them at $258, which is about the same cost, less the tax I had to pay. So, it'd have been a wash as far as cost and probably wouldn't have gotten them by Monday. So, I'm still happy.

Would someone mind explaining the benefit of the Bilstein shock to me?

I'm a bit of a newbie to this site. My 2000 D has 53,000 mile on OEM shocks. I drive mostly city/hiway, some snow on ski trips only. Handling is mushy.

What Bilstein be a good set up for me? Or the Monroes or??

Tks for your ideas!!

M

I ran Bilsteins on my '99 for a while? nice shock, way better than stock?

I'm running KYB Monomax on my '03, and they have been great? my driving is largely like yours (um, well, except for the fact that I haven't been on skis for 20 years or so?)
