Hi all - confused over using the AT-250 re-seal to add to engine oil. When I do an oil change, do I put in the same amount of engine oil plus a bottle of re-seal, or do I put a little less oil than normal in along with the re-seal so there isn’t too much fluid as a whole in the engine? Hope I’m making sense. I know you’re not supposed to overfill with too much oil, so logically seems like if you put in recommended number of quarts of oil, adding more fluid (in this case re-seal) on top of that there’d be too much fluid overall?

Welcome to DDN. What is the year/model/engine of your vehicle, and what issue are you working on?
The additive should have the recommended blend on the label. BTW, we normally don't recommend such things, as they are only a band aid, if they do anything at all.

Hi Don - thanks for the quick reply! I have a ‘99 3.9L V6. Have bit of an oil leak and wanted to try the re-seal to prevent the need for spending more $$ than necessary. Last came came across Scotty Kilmer videos on YouTube and looks like lots of folks have used this product with great success, especially for more minor leaks. I found my answer on a bottle of real-seal just like you said. Thanks!

Let us know how it works out. If the leaks are very minor, you may have some success. How much are you losing between oil changes? Is it enough to require adding more on a weekly basis?
