IIRC, the DD SRT debuted for '18. I recall at least 2 D SRTs with the cam/lifter issue, and one fellow had his 6.4 self destruct as he drove down the road. Another fellow drove through what he thought was an ok level of water because he saw a Corvette doing same. The Vette made it, and his DSRT engine ingested water and died.

The transfer case has been known to crap out. Too much torque for the clutch packs it seems.

 

Transfer case is the worst problem and caused me to wreck my SRT this past weekend. I doubt if I get another Durango SRT. Im looking at an WB Hellcat Charger or KIA Stinger w/AWD.

 

That Kia Stinger AWD Turbo is super impressive. I test drove one myself and man that is a nice ride!

I don’t understand why the 6.4 uses the 3.6’s MP3010 transfer case instead of the 5.7’s MP3023

 

I always thought the transfer case was geared for the 6.4 and damn sure not use the 3.6's thats cheap n cost cutting its a Dodge so nothing more to expect.
