Well, if you are not worried about being emissions legal, or trying to retrofit into the CANBUS wiring, no matter what "old-school" engine you try to make work will require you to figure out how to get all your other electronics to work - radio, wipers, lights, HVAC controls, etc., etc. If you are going to attempt something like that, why not drop in an old-school Mopar 360 crate motor with an old-school Torque Flight. Retro fitting a Chivy 350 will also require retro fitting in a Chivy trans, and if you have an AWD vehicle, a lot more fiddling around with transfer case and drive shafts.
