Was prepping for my trip from VA to Orlando earlier this week and pulled the D out of the garage and noticed a tiny oily/watery puddle. Its rained for the last 20 days or so so just figured it was some run off road debris. 2 days later and the tiny puddle of mix was now a small oil puddle pulled it in and jacked it up but couldn't really track down the leak. I had an oil change schedueld for later in the week (today actually) so dropped it off in the morning with a long list of fix-before-my-warranty-expires issues. The call back wasnt great. The oil pressure sensor and what he described as the oil filter housing/coolant line were both leaking (waiting on the invoice to see the real issues). I'm leaving tomorrow morning and they're scrounging for parts. But I was assured it will be fixed tonight.

In other news they are replacing both front shocks that are leaking (crunch noise in front end). The power steering pump-finally (on going battle for a loud wine ). Did the Trans flash (stumbling acceleration). Replacing my driver seat (collapsing padding and broken lumbar inflator).

It was at 35k and some change so I had a list I wanted atleast acknowledged before it clicked over 36k. Surprisingly this time they were happy to address all the issues. The seat, shocks and steering pump will be done when I get back but are all on order. Been rolling around in a '16 ram (v6) since it went in and they discovered it wasn't just some spilt oil like the original advisor kept saying it was.

Let's hope they got it sorted out for our 3000 mile round trip!

Take the ram on the trip lol they will say wtf when you drop it off hahah
Why not, tell them your helping them out by letting them address all your issues @ once. At least if there is a problem with the Ram, it will be under warranty. LOL. Plus think of all the room you'll have for luggage if your wife wants to bring a suitcase of shoes.

If the weather wasn't so awful I would have considered it. It was only an extended cab and I have two kids in car seats so that's a no go(had to push the passanger seat almost all the way forward just to fit my youngest in. The rental was through enterprise. I was trying to get a Yukon Denali but needed approval from the dealer first. By which time they called me.

The leak is fixed and they detailed the engine bay, underbody, hand washed her, and vacuumed it out (wasn't expecting this). They did my oil change service and didn't use one of my package changes since they had to drain and fill it anyway. Knocked out the tranny flash and did the front shocks.

The ride is so much smoother with no crunch, and the shift programming is almost spot on even in ECO MODE.

Redeye14,
Glad to hear it worked out. The dealer seems real good, really going the extra mile. It's a shame all aren't that way. At least you'll have your vehicle for you trip & you'll be worry free. Travel safely & enjoy the time with your family.
