Has anyone seen this press release? I'm shocked no one is talking about this. You will be able to get a GT Durango WITH the V8 for $42,500 MSRP! No more V6's.

Now that I think about it.... I think I'm getting a little suckered in.....

No V6, swap to 5.7 and R/T getting 6.4 were really not the issues, albeit nice additions/upgrades.

Real issues and that some have already alluded to... Uconnect software is 'mediocre' at best... is that changing/upgrading/improving at all or is that can just getting kicked down the road?
ANY.... security improvements that will bolster the vulnerability of the vehicle from getting heisted?

Will there be any effort at all into these two arenas or will Dodge just play the shell gave with existing engine platforms, paint and decals to keep trotting out basically the same vehicle?

I don't believe the internet until it's true in real life. I don't need to care yet and I won't care yet. Dodge has ruined these kind of announcements for us before so I don't drink the Koolaid any longer. Just ask the Hellcat boys that bought their "one year only" Hellcats in '21. Dodge, like Disney, lies.

I placed my DD order in June for a 2025. Didn’t hear anything until early July that it was a 2026, and would be here on or around Aug 8-alas, no vehicle. Got a text from Dodge tonight saying it is now in production and est arrival is 9/3. Now, my question is-is she a V6 or V8? Don’t be too harsh on me, I’ve never ordered before.

If it's a V6 it might be a unicorn ;)
Waaaaay back at the beginning of time there were alleged to be some 1998 3.9L V6 Durangos, but everybody said "no, they never actually made any of those!"
Until one showed up at Carlisle.

Jailbreaks are absolutely on allocation, dealer will be configuring the specs for the allocations within the next week. If you want to factory order, it is necessary to get to the dealer to put in your spec before they get it finalized they way they want it. Possibly about 1 week is the estimate, until the next round of allocations.
Edit: 1 week from now, to get your spec ordered and override the dealer's spec. Once it's finalized no changes.

How about an R/T with the 6.4L but with RWD? It's heavy enough to minimize spinning at each light. Also, I had a 2023 Chrysler 300C with the 6.4L, I did not care for the gearing. I like a little longer 1st gear and lower RPM on the highway. I assumed the Grand Wagoneer with the 6.4 had less aggressive gearing. Like a Citadel version with the 6.4L would be my style. Have an R/T now, just needs a little more.....

I think I read somewhere earlier in this thread that V6 is/was still available for fleet orders.
But I might have imagined that.

This is true , no more V6 according to what I read which
I think is stupid. not everyone wants a V8 just for the mileage . I get 28-30 mpg on the highway not by the trip computer either . The V8's also have their issues with cams and lifters . I know some V6's will occasionaly have issues with this but I have had 3 Pentastars and
I have never had any major issue with them on 5000 mile oil changes . Also the extra cost for tuneups with having 16 sparkplugs and I am assuming 16 ignition coils . The V8 is fine and a lot of people love it but I just think it is stupid doing all V8 . They also should not be assuming the gas and mileage requirements arent going to be there because the minute the dems get in office again they will dump it because it has Trumps name on it .

Dealers will add 50k to these units. Would be nice if Dodge prevented the capitalist pig :ROFLMAO: dealer network from selling above MSRP.
BMW, Mercedes and Cadillac have done this, so Dodge can too.
During Covid a dealer in my area was tacking on $$$$ to a customer ordered vehicle. WTF!
No current Dodge is worth anything over MSRP, PERIOD! This is not the 60s/70s as there are no unicorns produced anymore, at least not by Mopar.
