It may be on here somewhere but I can not find it but does anyone have any pictures of some 285/50/20 installed on the stock wheels. I can get a good deal on some and they are cheaper than the stock 265/50s. Thank you in advance

Those tires shouldn't be on anything smaller than a 9 in. wide rim. Technically they should be on a 9.5 in. wheel but you can get by with a 9 in.
Thank you redrum for your input. I was thinking the same thing but just wanted to see how they looked if anyone had any mounted. I will end up ordering a set of stock size.
According to the specs from - https://www.toyotires.com/tire/pattern/proxes-st-ii-sport-truck-all-season-tires The toyo proxes st ii 285/50R20 have an approved Rim width range of - 8.0-9.0-10.0
Same for the Nitto 420s - 420S All-Season Truck & SUV Tire
interesting info. I may check more into it then. I am in no hurry for tires. As long as have them before winter. I have 52000 on the stock goodyears.
Yeah I have been wanting to get some new wider, taller and more aggressive all season tires even though my factory's only have 9k on them. I am still trying to decide between the 285/50/20 and 275/55/20 to use with my factory hyperblack rims that I really like. But I would hate to get denied warranty coverage if I show up at the dealership with a taller tire. So I guess I will have to get some new rims also if I want to get taller tires. Then I will just put my factory wheels\tires back on before going to a dealership with a problem. Decisions, decisions. First world problems...lol

Oh this is a good tire size calculator - Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com
Seriously doubt the dealer would make an issue with slightly larger tires. Never had an issue with my ram on much bigger tires.
I'm running that size on my 20x9 . I did have them fitted on my stock 20's just to c . They did fit but I was uncomfortable with the way the side wall looked and the faces the mechanics where making told me to not run them. The tire guide also said they would fit on an 8" rim . But after seeing it on and talking with mechanics I wouldn't run them. They just couldn't tell what would happen with to many big pot holes to the tire.
Update:

Had the Hankooks put on last week. After two attempts at balancing them I still have a steering wheel vibration. Going back for round three.
yeeeeaaaah, after 3 attempts to balance the Hankooks unsuccessfully, I'm going back next week so the owner of the tire store can take a crack at it. Another fun time with the D.
Is there some kind of trick with balancing the 20's on the D? They have my truck for the fourth time to try to settle the issue with steering wheel vibration after the new tires were put on. Owner says it's not a bad tire its a balance issue.

were these 285/50 on the stockers that you psoted? was there any rubbing?
I'm running 285/50 Nitto 420S and I have no rubbing. The front strut bolt is very very close, and the rear is pretty close to the carpet liner as well but no rubbing
