So out of curiosity are you saying the 285 are to thin looking or do you just spin the hell out of them and don't get any traction?

No, the traction is Terrible! If anything the 285/45/22 had a bigger looking sidewall than the 305/40/22. It sounds crazy but just that small 20mm change in width threw the car off so much. I was uncomfortable taking any hard turns. It would break very easily.

I was actually thinking of buying those 22x9 spider monkey to my rt and maybe do a JGC srt caliper swap but they won't fit or do the DD srt have other calipers?

What's the best tire setup for the 22x9?

Is it a DD srt issue or is it the same with an r/t with JGC brembo upgrade?

Its a brake issue. I tried my viper reps and it got caught on the brake! Put a nice little knick in the calipers paint too

So if I want to get JGC brembo brakes on my rt I need to look elsewhere and not the 9x22 replicas? 10x22?

You will need a +34 offset to run a 9” wide wheel to clear the Brembos.
