3 days of snowmobiling near Fraser and Rabbit Ears Pass (near Steamboat) in 18-24” new powder. We had a blast! Plus, the DD TnG did great!

 

How are you liking the F8. Does it look OK dirty? Does it have a metalflake look like my octane? I have one on order and never had a good up-close look...

 

@frictioncircle It does have a metal flake appearance. While I like to run it through the wash every other day to keep it fresh and clean (unlimited car washes), it really shows it no more than any other color (save white and black). I am super happy with the F8. It is my jam...

 

thanks...I wanted something, like you( I assume) that was not the usual fluffernutter colors. B5 was not available for my build...so Dr. Banner's other half it is 😜

 

@frictioncircle I really liked the F8 Green followed by Reactor Blue. But the other reason was to stay away from all the same Durango colors at least here. Grey, Black and White. Too plain. Not bad with winter grime on it.

 

@Bklynaj The brake pedal-yes. The gas pedal-no. The cover just goes over the gas pedal.

as others have recommended – get some really warm water out of the faucet and warm up the rubber before you do it and it’s very easy.

This is helpful. So dealer gave you adition $5,025 on top. Did you order the durango from factory or was it off the lot? What state is dealer located?

 

I ordered it from leith dodge in NC. I didn't make it easy on them. I live to negotiate.... lol

Good luck getting$5k off on top in the tri state area. Can it be done? Sure, but very rarely.

 

Whats more realistic?

 

Find an out of town dealer with their head screwed on correctly, make a deal over the phone, and take a day trip to pick it up. You can easily get $8k+ off in the DC Metro area. Hell for that price difference, just have them ship the vehicle directly to you. Dodge dealers don't do anything "special" if you service with the place you bought it from, so you're not missing out on anything.

 

I kinda did this with mine, granted the prices are in Canadian, but I found a new one online that was already 10k CAN below MSRP and have a buddy that works on the line get me a EC discount which took a couple grand off the price, ended up getting a loaded RT for 6k CAN less than special ordering a base RT with class 4 hitch and upgraded stereo.

 

Anyone have any dealers they can recommend closer to NY that play ball? I am going to order the car from the factory so I dont need it to be on the lot.

How is your TNG mpg so far? Mines is crazy bad. 1800 miles, but I go between 10/12mpg highway and city combined. Way worst than my '19 RAM

 

I have about 4K miles on it and I'm about 16 MPG. I think it would be better but I keep pushing the SPORT button.

You may want to measure it the old fashion way. The instrument panel can be mis-leading.

 

I just noticed that I must have gotten a rock or something kicked up onto my wheels because there’s a little gouge/scratch on it now. Anyone know if they even make touch up paint for Lights Out wheels? So far my search has come up with zilch.

 

yes they make a mopar OEM wheel touch up brush/pen. Its similar to the ones they make for the actual car paint. I have one here that worked well. I had a hard time finding the exact color but the one I used was close enough that it covered up the damage and looked 10 times better than a white "gash". I'll look for it and send a pic, it might help you order.

 

Finally got a chance to get a picture of my new Tow n Go. Got ppf on everything but roof and tailgate. Only mod so far is a catch can. First blue vehicle I've owned. Love the color.

Reactor Blue is a beautiful color. Congrats dude.

 

I've always loved blue cars. My first was a '69 Coronet 500 and then my '69 B7 Blue Roadrunner that I still have. I have and have had many colors as well but blue is still my favorite. I was disappointed that there were no 2020 B5 Blue R/Ts to find when we were shopping but we have come to love our black one now.
