Like so many 2021 Durango owners, I am dealing with the dreaded Uconnect box requires service pop up, but I also have a DTC of B1561-13 (Antenna circuit open). I've been to the dealer several times for this and they seem to have no idea how to fix it, so I am attempting to fix this myself.

I want to try replacing the telematics box but I'm not sure if it's possible to just swap it out with a used one from another Durango. Has anyone done this before? Would it cause issues? Does it have to be programmed to the specific vehicle?

I would appreciate any insight on this or if anyone knows of a different fix.

Did the dealer replace the telematics box yet? Pull the radio out and make sure all of the connectors on the telematics box are tight. If they are then the problem is a bad antenna cable or a bad connection at the shark fin which requires the roof to be dropped. This has been posted about just recently.

My telematics box was replaced and it didn’t solve anything. When I went back they said the hardware was fine and it’s waiting on a software update for the TBM. That was like 6 months ago and still no update so I suspect it won’t make any difference but would love to be wrong.

I just had my 2021 Durango serviced for the U connect error. I bought the extended warranty from Dodge dealership when I bought car. Dodge replaced under warranty the module part # 68604567-AC and the antenna cable part #68487082-AC. Dodge would not replace the antenna part #68323160-AC under warranty. They charged me $80.99 for the antenna. On the Dodge parts website I could buy the antenna for approximately $25. Dodge is a bunch of absolute scammers. I fought with the factory warranty company Flex Care and they said the antenna is not covered even though my warranty states the "Factory Installed U Connect System" is covered. Couldn't tell me where it states the antenna is not covered. I'm assuming the cable Dodge changed under warranty plugs into the module, radio, and the antenna. Well, the crooks at dealership charged me $80 labor to replace the antenna even though the warranty paid for labor to replace the cable. Basically, I got charged $80 to removed 2 screws to remove antenna and reinstall the screws. The double dipped on labor. I have a complaint in with Dodge.
