I just wanted to say I'm very disappointed that my 2024 Durango does not come equipped with a engine cover. That in my opinion makes a big difference when you open the hood.
Working in the automotive trade for over 50 years, I'm very focused on the looks and quality of vehicles.
I would love to hear what moron said yu know what we can discontinue the engine covers and save a lot of money know one looks under the hood anymore it will be fine. That's a bunch of B.S in my opinion. Spending $60,000 on a vehicle and they skimp on the engine cover makes no sense to me.

Welcome to DDN.. and congrats on the '24 DD.
The engine cover is one of those love it or hate it propositions. Some like the looks, while others say it hides the beauty of the engine and keeps heat from escaping.

On the Charger Pursuits, they came with them early on, but when Dodge found that many departments were immediately removing and sometimes throwing them away, so they stopped supplying them.

My '20 SXT Durango has a cover on the 3.6L engine, and so far it remains.

I don't know anyone who would think that it covers the beauty of the engine.
Now without the cover for me and a lot of people I've worked with over the years in the auto body business think otherwise. I've had people come back to the shop thinking we forgot to replace the engine cover, not so much on the new vehicle's and there right it looks like crap all you see is a big black piece of plastic with the mounts for the cover nothing beautiful about that.

It's a case of you say potato, and I say potaato. Different strokes for different folks. What do you like on your baked potato?
I prefer butter and sour cream, while my good friend and neighbor would replace the sour cream with Ranch dressing.
