Anybody who ordered 2023 SRT's getting any updates from their dealers? Crickets from mine...order "placed" on November 30th-ish.

Was told 4-6 months...just wondering if anyone has any other news....

Do you mind me asking what equipment you ordered? Right now, you cannot order an SRT without taking the Demonic Red seats. Was just wondering if back in November, the black leather/suede seats were available.
Tried on Saturday 1/28/23 to order a basic SRT 392 DD with suede seats but only the Plus or Premium could actually be ordered. There was no way the dealer could even physically enter the order.
I'm in the same boat. Been trying to order the base 392 since late November with no joy. I would normally have ordered the Premium model to get all the toys I want like a sunroof, leather dash, carbon trim, and H&K, but I cannot stand the red leather interior, so the base model is what I intend to get.

Who's the genius at Stellantis that thinks most people would prefer lipstick colored seats instead of black and made it mandatory in the top trims?? In Challengers, the Demonic seats have about a 5% take rate versus 90% for black leather or Alcantara. Real smart, Dodge. I would have spent $10k more to get what I want in my Durango, but you made it impossible.

Anyway, I'm checking in with my dealer every Friday to see if the base trim is available to order. Will let you know here when it is.

Touched base with my dealer here in Los Angeles today. 2023 SRT 392 base trim is still not available to order yet.

Not sure what the over/under is but my bet is "never." Maybe they will ship a few to dealers for showroom eye candy, but they won't be orderable....
Why do you say that?
For all you guys in my boat waiting for the base trim SRT 392 to become available for BTO, I just received a response to a message I sent to Dodge inquiring as to when the order banks will open:

“The 2023 Dodge Durango SRT model vehicle is noted as a late availability configuration. Ordering for this configuration has not yet opened and we would be unable to speculate on future order timing.”

that’s all they gave me…
Okay, peeps who have been waiting to order the SRT 392 in base trim with the black seats, my guy at Shaver Dodge in Thousand Oaks, California says the order banks will open up on Monday. He got this info from corporate. I intend to call him, and if true, go in to place an order for a Destroyer Gray SRT with Blacktop Package, Lightweight Performance Package and the Pirelli P Zeros. Will let you all know if it happens.
Okay, for you guys who've been waiting like me, I was finally able to order an SRT 392 in base trim today.

  • Destroyer Gray
  • Black suede and leather seats
  • Black Package
  • Lightweight Performance Package
  • Pirelli P-Zeros

Pissed I can't order the sunroof, Harmon-Kardon and Premium Interior Group, but at least I don't have to live with those red seats.

Order away, boys. No telling how long the window will remain open.

So it is still not "a-la-carte" like in the old days? If you want the other options, that requires you to go to Plus or Premium?
Sadly, correct. The only options available are exterior color, stripes, Black Package, Lightweight Performance Package,
Trailer Tow Group, and upgraded tires.
Don't understand what's so bad about the red interior. I lived with "those red seats" for 2yrs. Best looking interior of any Durango I've owned.
not everyone shares your opinion.
Does anyone know if the 23’s get the dvd players. When i ordered mine there wasn’t an option for it. Also does anyone have pictures of the new red seat color? heard it’s a bit darker.
No DVD option anymore.
Congrats... I can't wait to see your Lightwieght Package, I tried so hard to order this for my 2022 DDSRT...
I'll definitely post pics when she arrives in a few months. ;)
Lame. kids would have loved it.
Truth be told, many manufacturers are moving away from offering them, and instead provide multiple rear seating USB ports. Guess they figure that kids these days don't go anywhere without their iPads.
UPDATE: Salesman called today to say that NOW the base model SRT 392 can also be ordered in Vapor Gray or TripleNickel. I went down there to order the Vapor and was informed that I had to pay the list price at the time of delivery.

Walked out again. Will not return.
Find another dealer. I got $2000 off MSRP at mine.
Good going!!!

I tried the only other dealer I could get to (60 miles further away) and they wanted a $7500 ADM. Not much competition where I live. I guess I am tired of chasing this. All I wanted was a 'plain' base model with no options except for the paint.

The new economy. I am not playing.

Again, congratulations on your deal and your new SRT to be!
Thanks, brother. I can't believe both of your dealers wouldn't budge on a build-to-order car though. Here in LA, cars sitting on the lots all have ridiculous ADMs tacked on, but they're willing to deal if you BTO.
Here is an overview of the two trims. Trims are the same between the SRT Hellcat and the SRT 392.
Premium Trim
  • Demonic Red mid dash bolsters and trim around the top of the center console
  • Forged carbon fiber accents on passenger side of the dashboard, inner right side of the center console and on all door panels
  • PUR wrapped instrument panel with silver accent stitching
  • Demonic Red seatbelts
  • Harmon Kardon 19 speaker audio (which adds extended speaker grills with dark gray metallic rings)
  • 2nd row console
Plus Trim
  • Black mid dash bolsters and trim around the top of the center console
  • "Apex hydro" accents on passenger side of the dashboard, inner right side of the center console and on all door panels
  • Standard dash without accent stitching
  • Alpine 9 speaker audio
Here are a few pictures comparing the two trims.

Do you have the info for the base trim? Curious as to whether the mid dash is leather or suede.

It's technically not leather but a PUR wrap. Most automakers are going away from leather wrapped anything as it delaminates, bubbles, shrinks, etc. with time.

Here is what your dash will look like minus the Harmon Kardon speaker covers on the doors.

Thanks, buddy. Looks just as good to my eye as the stitched polyurethane. It's a good thing they're going away from real leather. The Grand Cherokee Overland I'm replacing with the Durango has a real leather dash, and indeed, I've gotten bubbles and delimitation in the corners. A pisser when you spend extra money for a top trim, only to have that occur.
