2021 DD Uconnect 5C 10.1" System Issues/Glitches (Share your experiences)

I figured I would start this thread to see what issues people are running into. I'm sure many of these will be worked out quickly but wanted to see is others are having the same issues I am.

1) Yesterday, my screen became completely unresponsive. It would not acknowledge any screen touches. This went on for 5 minutes and continued after a reboot of the system. Eventually it just started working on its own again. It started when my apple car play started up.

2) Performance pages are glitchy. They seem to crash when I select the certain performance page I want to view. Without fail, the G Force page crashes and reverts to the home page every time I click on it.

3) I am unable to add more than one profile. I called Uconnect and they said an update will be pushed out soon to add up to 5 profiles. Is everyone having this issue?

4) Screen not dimming when headlights are on while using apple carplay. It seems like its on full bright even when headlights are on only when on the car play screen.

Funny you mentioned the "better" HK system over the alpine stock unit. I have the alpine system, and it sounds way better than the HK system. Btw, HK, alpine....they are basically the same, with just tuning and amp differences. HK and Alpine had NOTHING to do with the systems, other than getting paid to use the name.

I agree, I have the Alpine and I test drove one with HK and I wasn’t impressed.

So new one but now I’m pretty sure I’m discovering it’s been happening the entire Fing time… the radio EQ settings have been reset to default every time I’ve checked them. Either they reset to default when I load the profile or they are just getting reset overnight. @DodgeCares any news on a software update? I’m beyond pissed at this point, it’s been over a year since the last update (R17.99). 😡

Lol on my last 150 mile cruise my android auto and my phone were having a cats in the bag claws out battle of connect disconnect, while my radio switched from perf pages to nav screen to AA every 3 minutes...just turned my phone off....

I have this issue every so often. Reboot the phone and all is well but it is a royal pain.

I hate the built in VR. Does nto understand plain language very well and likes to use, "pardon" alot!
I have hundreds of songs on my usb drive and what is stupid about the VR with USB is the following:

If you tell the FU-Connect to play an album, it will but then you are freaking stuck with that album. meaning if you use the VR to play all music, it does not know what all means.
If you ask it to play a play list it says it cannot find one which is wrong as my playlist works with everything including my wife's 21' JGC.
It has been this way since I bought the vehicle so I stopped using the USB since there are NO controls to play specific music on your USB except the VR which is dumb as hell since it does not work.

Today I tried for 20 minutes to get out of playing a single album. What worked was when I said to the VR , play all songs. It asked me what song in particularly and I said A. Well that kind of worked as it started playing all songs in alphabetical order starting with A. However, you cannot set shuffle since it does nothing. Such a stupid VR FU-Connect system Mother Mopar has created.

Just had to lay down some more bitching about this system from 2007. Just because you give a 10.1" screen does not make your technology work!

Consumer Reports is literally a bunch of idiots. Based on what they have said over the years in areas where I really do know my stuff... I don't trust their views on ANYTHING.

I have the following issues:

1) Apple car play doesn’t connect every time. Same experience, I drive to work and it still hasn’t connected.

2) the steering angle on my performance page has never worked, not once.

outside of those things, no other issues.

Considering I received the first update 6+ months after the Y25 recall went out I suspect this means I’ll get the next update after my factory warranty runs out. 😂 fuck dodge at this point

My contact at Uconnect (FWIW) says late 2nd quarter this year. But they also said late 4th quarter last year.

I am not holding my breath cause I know December is the month

It's just like HR here at work. We are two years into this buyout and HR has yet to produce an employee manual, implement their attendance points policy or provide us the wage tiers we've been working on.
