I had the ubox error for about 3 days at one point and then it just went away on it's own. I honestly think there are multiple issues, all of which show the same error. I would expect a combination of hardware and software at this point.

My radio wouldn’t let me change volume earlier until I forced a restart. This radio issue and the lack of effort to fix it has tarnished dodges reputation for me indefinitely. f them, I’ll not be buying anything else from Dodge or Stellantis period.

Sat radio went out again today... I don't know if this is related to the FU Connect or not but it is the second time we have lost the sat radio in a month...
Happened to me twice, got it to connect again both times and then never happened again…

If I was a betting person I would put money on December instead of any time soon.....and YES they should just put the damn update online for everyone to download. It's really annoying when I have to unplug/plug back in my ipod just to get it to work, EVERY DAMN TIME I start the car.

With the idiotic decisions being made in getting rid of good selling vehicles in favor of battery powered turdmobiles I seriously doubt there will be another Dodge product in my future. I guess Stellantis never heard the saying, "you can put sprinkles on a turd, but it's still a turd"

My Uconnect 10.1 in my 2022 DD was very glitchy. It reset on it's own several times, became unresponsive several times. dropped calls a couple of times that just reverted to my phone (i.e., did not lose cell service). The dealer replaced it. Since then it seems the screen sensitivity is very poor. Also, both units (original and new) are VERY slow. It takes minutes to change from one profile to the next, a button press can often take several seconds or so, when powering off the car and restarting is later, or putting it in reverse, then back in D or P, the screen randomly changes to a different screen (phone screen, home screen, apps screen, unpredictably. There is no way to set a preferred screen, and even more so, it should not change to some other screen when put in reverse or when the car is shut off then restarted. This is a VERY poor system. I'm highly disappointed.

Amongst other things, the profile switching on the FUconnect5 is garbage. It's literally unusable. I think Dodge knew this, and tried to just leave it out of the first release. But when people demanded the feature (being that Dodge advertised it) they begrudgingly released it. Of course they have never bothered fixed it, mostly because they already have your money.

In truth, the entire FUconnect5 experience has been the biggest letdown I can remember going all the way back to Windows ME. The best part is how Stellantis thinks they are going to shift into a software driven, subscription based, nickel-and-dime approach in their next generation of vehicles. Hahahahahah! I think the entire automotive industry is nuts out of touch, thinking people want subscription models everywhere. But given FCA and Stellantis' particular history with software, this is just comical.

Clearly, nobody at Stellantis or Dodge believes this is a big enough issue (even when combined with ALL the others we've seen) to prevent you from buying another vehicle from them. They are effectively calling all our bluffs, and saying "we don't care, you'll be back anyway".

Let's see how that works out for them...

Thanks for your reply. In reality it wouldn't take much to fix the issues that both you and I spoke to, and a few others I (and I'm guessing you) have noticed. I agree that this crappy Uconnect system is enough that I would NOT buy another Stellantis vehicle. Also, I upgraded to the Harman-Kardon system. It sounds terrible! Muffled and flat. The equalizer doesn't help much. I found an article that goes into the cheap speakers they use and high level of compression they agreed to with SiriusXM, at the expense of fidelity. Here's the article. All About the Harman-Kardon 19 Speaker Premium...

I would seriously suggest you migrate away from SiriusXM toward spotify. I have a family plan which gets me 6 separate accounts for 19.99 per month. I download my playlist songs to my phone and play it direct to the FUconnect5 over Android Auto Wireless. This keeps my phone from crushing my battery with downloads, and it allows me to get whatever bitrates I choose. Plus I don't loose my music and podcasts in a thunderstorm, tunnel, or urban canyon. It might just sound a lot better on the HK setup as well. If nothing else, you can try it out on the free Spotify accounts first.

I have been lucky with my 2021 R/T (built in December 2020). Only thing is the uconnect 5 box requires service message. Although recently I noticed little hiccups in my music playing from my phone.

PREACH!!! my personal take is that they know the dodge brand is going under (I read today that stellantis is only interested in the Ram and Jeep brands anyways) so this lack of caring isn’t a mistake in any way.
