2021 DD Uconnect 5C 10.1" System Issues/Glitches (Share your experiences)

I figured I would start this thread to see what issues people are running into. I'm sure many of these will be worked out quickly but wanted to see is others are having the same issues I am.

1) Yesterday, my screen became completely unresponsive. It would not acknowledge any screen touches. This went on for 5 minutes and continued after a reboot of the system. Eventually it just started working on its own again. It started when my apple car play started up.

2) Performance pages are glitchy. They seem to crash when I select the certain performance page I want to view. Without fail, the G Force page crashes and reverts to the home page every time I click on it.

3) I am unable to add more than one profile. I called Uconnect and they said an update will be pushed out soon to add up to 5 profiles. Is everyone having this issue?

4) Screen not dimming when headlights are on while using apple carplay. It seems like its on full bright even when headlights are on only when on the car play screen.

The no connection/losing connection is driving me insane with android auto. Using Google maps to get somewhere, just as I was getting close it disconnected, pressed the button to reconnect that popped up and lost the directions. Even bluetooth does not work properly!

Does Dodge send updates to the uconnect somehow? Because recently my wireless android auto has been working better. Not perfect, but I can actually use it more without yelling at it.
I think Canada is out of luck currently. I called my dealership and they said they don't see anything recent updates.
If you log on Mopar's web site to see the current recalls, you will see that there is a campain celled Y25, 2021 RU WD HARMAN RADIO - RADIO SOFTWARE UPDATE (started 2021-10-28). I'm heading to the dealer next week for that.
I did the search that way and for my vehicle says no safety recalls, no campaigns. Vice-White checked though and I am part of the campaign, so it's weird.
I'm going to have to get a hold of FCA on this I think.
Had a conversation with FCA Canada. This campaign is only for the US, so us Canadians are out of luck at the moment. So stupid!

Courtney from Dodgecares posted that she would be able to help us get a copy of the file so we could do the update ourselves. And I emailed her the same day also and still havent heard back either.....
I've messaged her twice and no response.
Your dealer is being stupid. Bring this front page of the attached file to them
I received a voicemail from FCA Canada about my case is they said my build is not part of the Y25. This is driving me insane, how else am I supposed to update from build R14? I believe my Durango was built in April. Waiting for them to call back again.
any canadians use the file to update yet?
I haven't yet, but I've been tempted to. The android auto wifi was tolerable for a week, then it started to be unreliable again, so thinking about this option. Wonder if this would void the warranty if something happened during the update? lol

Wow my software version is no where near these numbers you guys mentioned lol. Mine says 14b.61.

And I never got any usb.

You are probably like me and your VIN is not part of the campaign, even though we have the same problem. Bunch of idiots running the show. People with an older build have the current update is unreal.

Yup, April build as well and not part of the update. I'm gonna go in for a different recall and bring a bunch of videos and photo that I've taken over the months with issues. Hopefully they either update or replace the system. It's sad that they will prob do the ladder.

So I've taken my Durango to the dealership for the safety recall and mentioned that my unit is still on version 14 and not part of the Y25. Prior to this, I've been messaging Stellantis on Twitter and they gave me This:
Font Material property Screenshot Parallel Number

. I gave that to my dealer so fingers crossed they proceed with the update now, otherwise Stellantis said they will escalate

You have to get to 17.89 before you can get an OTA update. The unit needs to be updated manually via a USB drive.
If you want the file(s) it is in this thread somewhere. Just go ahead and do it understanding the odds are pretty low that anything bad will happen but it could happen. Even if the radio bricks, it is warranty work.
Good news is no one on this forum has reported bricking their unit. Process is easy but for a few minutes, it looks like it is doing nothing but it is. Mine took 18 minutes to complete and 10 days or so later I got the OTA update 17.99
That would be my next option. I was worried if I was to do it myself and my VIN was not listed that it could void warranty. Anyways, they did the update so I'm good!
Been a month and no update to 17.99. Just curious, is the wireless android auto better in 17.99? Still pretty crappy in 17.89

Heeeellppp meeeee saraaaahhhhh... SAAAARAAAAHHH
I have not seen that one....btw after the thumb-drive update 6 weeks ago still on 89..
I've been on the 89 update since May.... super annoying.
Got a new pixel 7 hoping that would solve the wireless android auto connection and it did not. Constant drops Perhaps it's because I'm still on .89 since the usb update in May... Still hasn't updated to .98. might just go get the 3rd party aawireless, as this thing is a joke.

Also, I've noticed the medium heat seat hasn't been working as well!
I finally got the 17.99 Update. I contacted Stelantis by messaging them on twitter, just in case anyone is still stuck on 17.89. They had someone push the update to my vin, and it took a couple weeks to get it after that. The update didn't help my wireless AA with the pixel 7 problem though.... Still disconnects!

Will I bought carsifi aa wireless to see if that would help, and of course uconnect5 will connect first as it's sometimes quicker. Carsifi takes a bit of time to connect, but it's more reliable connecting, There's no way to disable the wireless android in uconnect5, so I guess it makes that option pointless. I guess I'm out of luck enjoying the experience until they figure out a fix.
