Hi all - first time poster, long time lurker.

I've scoured the forum reading about people's past experiences with lowering their AWD Durangos and have gathered a lot of useful information. However, I am still having a problem removing the driver side front strut.

Per other posts, I have removed the CV from the hub and pulled the entire spindle assembly out. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to swing the CV any lower to clear the strut. I've gone as far as pushing the lower control arm all the way down until it bottoms out but the CV boot will still not clear. All the other posts suggest I should be able to do this without removing the CV.

I will attempt to attach a picture depicting my struggle. Does anyone have any additional advice? This is on a 2020 RT as the title denotes.

For the driver’s side, I had to pull the axle from the differential. An extra set of hands helps. One pushing the lower control arm, while the other wiggles the strut out.

I thought I had read someone saying the 2019/2020 model year had a new strut design with a separate fork at the bottom. Rather than being a single piece. Obviously, not the case with your pic. Wishful thinking that it would be a little easier to do that same obstacle you’re stuck on.
