Can anyone give me some pointers on why the front blower motor has quit working. 2 years old and 37000 miles. Working one day and now it does not. Fuse is good.
BB: Does your D have the manual or auto HVAC? Could also be the blower resistor module. Have you located the blower under the dash? Check to see if the harness connector is securely attached. If so, you should find another harness connector on the HVAC box nearby. That should be the control module. Be sure that the connector is attached properly. If you like, you can also remove the 2 or 3 (usually) screws that secure the module to the HVAC box, and see if it looks burned or otherwise damaged. Don
Now they called and said they need to replace the Resistor and a cost of another $300.00 total for AC= $1025.00 +/- Dealers really dont care about the cost, I understand that's why they are not well regarded. Question: is there a shortage of Service Techs, I live in SO CAL and it is taking so far 11 days, and probably wont be done for 2 more days. Dealer didn't have the resistor, and was going to buy from another local dealership and charge me 30% more.I had the same issue, the dealer replaced the Blower Motor under warranty. It went out again 7/7/21 the dealer said it is the blower motor and Module 2? Cost $ 700.00 usd. Very frustrated with John Elway Dodge Service dept. took them a week to figure out. When it was going out, I would slam the glove Box door and it would start up. I also slapped the kick panel underneath the Glove Box and it would start. Does anyone have idea? A short that corrects when slammed?
