2016 - citadel vs RT? (Assuming v8 awd for both)

Update - I bought an RT!

- better suspension
- 2 speed transfer case with low range
- blacktop looks way better than chrome
- has everything the citadel has in a tighter sportier package...for about $4000 less.

Original post:

Aside from the lack of roof racks (which, btw, does anyone use them for snowboarding?), is there somewhere I can find a list of differences broken down bit by bit? Can roof racks be added by a dealership to an RT?

So far all I've seen pointed out is:

Citadel:
- higher ride height
- roof racks
- more chrome bits on the trim

RT:
- lower ride height
- no roof racks
- fewer chrome bits on the trim

So....wtf am I missing here? The only options I plan on ordering are the tow package and maybe the skidplate for the Citadel...for the RT, towing and blacktop. I don't want the captain's seats (might get in the way when hauling stuff with seats folded down), definitely don't want the Beats audio, don't want the tech package, etc.

I can get the RT about $4k cheaper looks like, after incentives and such.

I like snowboarding, camping, occasional towing of a motorcycle trailer with dirtbikes or track bikes at some point, a bit of hunting and fishing. I don't do any serious offroading (especially not the stuff where the road is more of a destination than the campsite). At the same time I'd also like to not get stuck in deep snow, and I really like the look of that 2.5" lift people are doing with the Jeep GC's kit. Anyone done that lift to an RT yet? Or a Citadel? Anyone lifted an RT at all? Or taken one in some deep snow ala northeast or northwest / colorado weather?

Oh and I couldn't care less about the chrome bits, I'm more worried about things like maybe one has LED headlights and the other doesn't, or one has fog lights and the other doesn't, etc. I don't know.

So I took a brand spankin new shiny fresh off the truck RT for a test drive today. This one was allllllmost exactly what I wanted but had the tech package installed (which I do not want).

Now I see what you guys are talking about with the RT sound. :)

Sat in a V6 citadel right after the test drive - the seats are a tiny bit softer, just enough to be noticeable, but I think I'll be ok in the RT seats. I took it on a fairly uneven stretch of highway (that usually bounces you around side to side a bit) and the RT barely noticed. Ride is smooth, acceleration is smooth. I was in a time crunch so I had to get to work unfortunately. Friday morning I have a test drive scheduled in Santa Cruz, CA....so I'll see if I can't take it out for a coastal highway run.

One thing I'm disappointed in - maaaaaaan that subwoofer with the Beats audio takes a huge chunk out of that rear storage! I measured and it's about 35" across, 7" deep, 15-16" front to back. Would be perfect for storing a couple pairs of snowboard boots, gloves, goggles, etc, and then throw the boards on a hitch rack. But noooooooo there's gotta be a stupid subwoofer there.

The Beats audio was definitely disappointing as expected, though not as bad as I thought it'd be. Sounded decent enough I guess. I still wouldn't get it as an option if I had a choice, but since it comes standard on the RT...bleh. Oh well.

One thing I was a bit surprised at...the one I drove had a sunroof. I liked it. I don't know how much I'd actually use it, but...I liked it.

Update! Just picked up an RT AWD yesterday. Granite with blacktop, tow, and sunroof. Very happy with it so far! Dealer took a bit of haggling to get to the price I wanted which was annoying since I'd walked in ready to go with the paperwork from USAA/truecar, but we worked our way to the numbers I wanted within 20-30 min. Thanks to the forums here I was walking all over the sales manager and salesman in terms of knowledge on the vehicle and whatnot. I'll get some pics up probably next weekend, nose to the grindstone again already for now. Gonna take it out to the coast though I have some ideas for some great pictures.
