My front shocks are in need of replacement, they are leaking apparently. I know everyone states that you can switch to some other brand but I will stick with stock. (112k miles).

So .. part number wise .. I am thinking I just need the following, that should be it right?

68223772AA - Shock Absorber X 2
68029646AE - Strut upper insulator (Figured why not) X 2
68029522AC - Dust Cover (figured why not) X 2

Looks good to me. Also mine are not far behind yours, at 113k miles now. They might be leaking too!!

I need new tires, so my plan is to see what the mechanic suggests to also replace when getting new rubber.

If you are going to hang onto it for a good while longer, you really should get the Bilsteins. They are head and shoulders above the oem shocks, and have a lifetime warranty.

Does your Durango have the load leveling shocks? If so, they can be a PIA as they changed the mounting hardware along the way, you want to be sure get the correct pieces.

Hi Don! I bought the LLS from Sachs and i don't know what mounting parts i need for the installation, the original shock mounting is totally different, do you have a clue? Been trying to find out about this for 3 months, im Swedish and nobody in sweden can help me.

Hi Ted:
Welcome to DDN. There are a number of threads here regarding the rear shock hardware, also switching from the load levelers to standard shocks. Try the search function.

Most people go the opposite direction, load leveling shocks to regular shocks. Here is one of the big threads on that. May be of some help working the other direction.
