I was sitting in my driveway with the door open for a bit and the lights started to go off. I pressed the driver side overhead and both lights came on as well as the back interior lights. When I was done, the interior lights didn't automatically turn off. I checked to make sure they weren't still pushed in(though all lights should not have been on if they were) and they weren't. So I rotated the dial dimmer switch all the way down to the off position and everything went off. I rotated it up so that they would come on when the doors open and so I could control the brightness of the dash, and as soon as I did all interior lights came on. They are only supposed to come on when the dial is rotated all the way up in the locked position.
Right now, I can barely see my dash lights because they are so low but the moment I try to brighten them, the interior lights come on.
Has anyone experienced this and if so did you find the solution?

Don:
Try a battery reset. Disconnect the negative cable, depress brake pedal 30 seconds, then reconnect, and see what you have.
