Hello, I inherited a 2014 Dodge Durango RT with 43,000 miles. It's the first dodge I've ever owned. My question is I have no idea what this thing is. What's the purpose? What does it do? Thanks in advance 😃

That is an electric trailer brake controller...

Thanks 👍 I was hoping it was a performance module. I have no trailer, can I remove it? Plus it keeps blinking 8.5 on the LCD screen.

Yes, you can remove it. The flashing number is the setting currently stored in it. There are no performance chips for the Durango as there isn't much more to get out of it with the computers controlling it.
