My 2012 durango keeps dieing after I start it and the dealership can't seem to figure out the problem does anyone have any idea of what the issue could be? It's updated on all recalls.

Hi Kerry:
Welcome to DDN. How many miles on your Durango? What kind of shape is the battery in? You say it's up to date on recalls, but there have been more than one regarding a fuel pump relay problem. Is it possible that your fuel pump is on the way out?

Ok on the new battery. Does it start and run at all? Is there a pattern to the engine shutting off? When it dies, can you restart it right away? Any background you can supply will make a successful repair more likely. When were the spark plugs last changed?

I've done everything. It only does it every now and then. I have to cut the power then restart it.

When this happens, are there any trouble codes stored? Which engine? Have you tried swapping in a new FP relay just for the heck of it? They are not very expensive.

Never any codes coming up. It was at the dealership for three days and they came up with nothing.
