At least the PS3 gets you a gamer station AND a Bluray player for the cost of just one or the other. My PS2 is still banging away after picking it up the Christmas of release as is our PS3 picked up 2 Christmas'es ago now.

Uncharted/Drake is a beautiful game and the PS3 isn't even tapped yet as a console.

It's a turtle and a rabbit race sorta thing I think.

I like the interior; not enthralled with the front end. Actually think it started going downhill with the 2006 redesign.
Nothing I see that wants me to get out of my 2004.
I'm sure it'll generate the same type of discussions we had on Gen I vs Gen II D's.

A major improvement compared to the "awkward" front and rear styling on Dodges. I must say, something seems odd about the headlights- are they too small? Looking at it from the side almost reminds me of an older Chevy S-10. They look as if they were placed there as an afterthought? Maybe it's just the photos and they're different in person.

No stealth Ram s at the plant tour. They're made in Warren, MI (1500), Mexico (2500 and 3500), and St. Louis, MO (1500 and 2500).

I completely agree.

I haven't really made up my mind on whether or not I like this new front end, but either way, I do prefer it more than those of the other more recent years.

What's not to love? Front & rear coils and 4-link makes for piece of cake lifts. Improved interior and great styling. Now if the D would come back with the same stuff we'd have the best out there again and have a chance at some lift kits from the industry.

The new Ram in one word; SEXY! If I'm ever in the market for a pick up, that's the one for me.

 

Looks like a reworked Toyota Tundra. Guess they're trying to go head-to-head with it. The torque/hp numbers are a close match

 

I also like everything about it - inside and out, and is the best looking Ram to date. With a quick look to the front grill and headlights, it reminds me our first Gen D with a one-piece headlight. I also like the shifter on the console instead of the colume, also giving the console a wider look.
If I was in the market for a full size P/U, it'd be this new Ram for sure.
Now, they need to do something like that to the the newer Gen D, because it's still fugly to me.

Make an SUV out of it since there's no 1/2 crew with an 8 ft bed. I need the extra doors and an 8 ft bed. I'm not going back into a 3/4 ton HD kidney buster to get an 8 ft bed. If there's no 3rd gen D I might have to look at Ford or GM.

 

It looks like a cross between a Charger and an F150 to me. It looks pretty nice, it needed a refresh for sure.

 

I like the trapezoid grille? evokes the 300C (the real 1957 300C)?

The engine lineup includes a 215-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 and a 310-hp 4.7-liter V8. But the jewel is a reworked 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that delivers 380 hp and 404 pound-feet of torque. Dodge says the new 5.7 in the Ram R/T 4x2 regular cab and short bed will rock from zero to 60 mph in less than 7.0 seconds ? pretty amazing stuff for a full-size pickup.

380HP and 404 torque would be good #s in an SUV. The included V6 is for the CAFE ratings for sure. What a waste that powerplant would/will be in that truck.

Just after my lunch break the other day readin up on this topic I coulda swore I saw one pulling into our machanics garage without a bed? Ended up being a sterling bullet, never knew they looked that familiar?

**Edit - It had a blocker over the radiator so I couldn't see the big Sterling

 

You're right, very close. I think the fender curves on the Sterling at the hood/fender line look a bit more like a Gen2.

That revamped Hemi sure is a nice upgrade from the 345 HP/375 ft-lbs torque I've got. I like the side fender mounted tool boxes too. Still not sold on the front end though. Looks like a sad face to me.

Cute? a bunch of RAMs.

The chrome version looks good, the base model? not so good. The side RamBox on the side of the bed is apparently not standard. Neat widget in the bed.
