Up for sale is a 2003 Dodge Durango R/T. It's in great shape, with no dents, dings or rust. It runs great, looks great and has a lot of extras. The only normal wear issue is, on the left side of the driver's seat, there are slight cracks in the leather. There are no holes, but you can see light surface cracks (this is normal on Durangos with leather seats.) There are also 2 very small holes in the headliner, one on the left just over the center of the driver's window and one by the driver's sun visor. I filled them but haven't been able to find a color to match the headliner so I left them as is until I do. This truck was painted in July of 2011 and has a matte black color called "Hot Rod Black" (the steps, side moldings and roof rack are gloss black.)

The engine is the 5.9L 360 and it has an SCT 91 octane program which gives it more power (I'll give the SCT scanner tool to whoever buys the truck so you can change the program or reinstall the original factory one.) The entire truck has been very well maintained. I bought it in March of 2005 with 39,000 miles and, since then, the oil has been changed about every 3000 miles. It has just over 114,000 miles and the Goodyear Futera tires have plenty of thread left and are quiet and do an excellent job under all conditions. We've taken this D on a lot of trips to many other states and have had no problems. The third seat is a huge help, allowing room for kids, luggage and then some? plus, as I?m sure you know, it also folds down to allow room for much more.

Below is a list of the options, extras and recent maintenance.

Factory Options: PW, PL, A/C, ABS, AWD/4HI/4LO, electric and heated front seats, 3rd row seating, tow package, steering wheel controls, AM/FM/CD/Tape player, auto dimming mirrors and an overhead console with Homelink garage door openers.

Extras/Mods: Headers, Fastman throttle body, Flowmaster Delta Flow muffler, K&N Cold Air Intake, functional SRT 10 style fiberglass hood, Ventshades on all door windows, aftermarket radio interface from Crutchfield (allows you to play an iPOD, etc. and the steering controls work with it), a satellite radio (subscription not included), and an Autometer DPIC gauge (allows you to see G force, ÂĽ mile time etc.)

Recent repairs (done this year): All 4 ball joints, water pump, timing cover gasket, new battery and thermostat.

Please let me know if you're interested, and I can send you some more pics.

I'll also give you all the original parts I still have, such as the headlights, exhaust, grille, etc. and do whatever I can to help get it to you (meet you, help you ship it, pick you up at the airport, etc.)

Before putting it up for sale I took it to a major shop and they said it's in great shape, needs nothing, and is ready to go. I'm only selling it because I was able to finally purchase the Ram pick-up I?ve always wanted. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me.

The price is $7500 FIRM.

Thanks for looking, Duke. 207-807-2143 6194d@roadrunner.com

Thanks for looking. I'm going to try and be more active and help when I can and learn more as well. I'd sell the hood if I was going to part it out, but I just don't have the time or the space to keep everything, sorry. This is my 3rd vehicle I've had painted that color and I love it too. Thanks for the compliment! Please get the word out if you know anyone who might be interested as, unfortunately, it has to go. Thanks.

This pictures shows the DPIC gauge and the Sirius radio. I have the DPIC wired to a toggle switch I mounted at the bottom of the dash so it's not on unless I want to use it. The Sirius works and sounds great and the steering wheel controls work it as well as the iPod, CD, regular radio and cassette.

I realize in the picture it looks like the factory screen is blocked, but it's not. You can still read the info from the driver's seat with no problem.

Looks like a very nice D, sorry you have to part with it. A nice Gen 1 that has been cared for like yours is a great deal for the right person. The one thing not in your favor of course is the recent rise in fuel prices. When I sold my 01 back in April of 09, you could hardly GIVE an SUV or truck away. If all else fails, maybe you can just park it? They don't eat much and you can let them sit if you have the pink slip. If I'd been looking at things correctly when I sold mine, I'd still have it!

Thanks Don! I'd love to keep it and I have a 12 year old son who's driven it and wants me to keep it for him, but letting it sit for 3+ years is like rubbing salt in a wound. I do have the pink slip, but it eats at me and hurts so much already seeing it just sit there. So I take it for rides here and there to keep it "active", but it's very difficult for me not to be doing something with it? cleaning, changing the oil, adding something, etc. Anyway, I guess I have to grow up sometime and deal with it. I'm actually surprised though, 2 local dealers offered me $4500 for it?? I guess we'll see what happens.

Thanks for the message,
Duke

Dealers have to low ball you as they need to make a profit on the resale. I tried that in 2008 and was only offered $2800 for mine. I laughed and walked away.

I wish you luck my friend but you may have to take a lesser amount for it.

It won't move at that price with gas soon to be at $5/gal.
Definitely try and get the most you can.

ARGH! Why didn't you budge just a little when I offered :wall:
Now I'm building a new bathroom? :furious:

I sort of agree with the others that an older D probably won't bring want you need. But, in the words of Dave Ramsey, sell the new 2012 1500 Ram, specially if it has payments to be made. Is the D free and clear?

Just last week we made our last car payment ever and I'm not going back there ever again!

Thanks for the offer Indy, I appreciate it, but I hope I can do a little better than that. The D is free and clear and ready to go to it's new home. I've had quite a few talks with it so it'd understand what's happening and it's ready. My nephew may soon be putting it on eBay as many people have suggested. I guess I'll have to wait and see how things progress? Thanks for looking and for the advice etc. guys, I really do appreciate it.

We wish you the best of luck Duke!
Now where are the pics of that new Ram??

Ok, I've gotten another call from a dealer who wants to give me $5000 and I can keep the original and/or extra parts I have so I can sell them. Although I'm under the gun to make it go, I just can't sell it for that. If anyone is seriously interested, please send me a PM and we'll work something out. It must really be worth something to these dealers who keep calling so to who and for how much would they be selling it for if they're offering me $5000? Anyway, thanks for looking and have fun, Duke.
