Has anyone found a better setup for an 18 durango rt other than the Jones x-pipe and the Gibson axle back exhaust. So far its the best sounding setup to me.

Alright so I am going to likely go down a whole new path. I am planning on swapping the stock resonators out, leaving the suitcase and only changing in Vibrant 1141's or 1140's with 4" outlet single or double wall tips (TBD). I am trying to decide if I want to add the little extra volume with the 2.5" Vibrant UQR or the 2.25" Vibrant UQR. A lot of Vibrant bottle styles getting run on the tracks these days so I am thinking the UQR version will still flow a lot better than the factory resonator being straight through and be a bit louder than the oem due to that. The size comparison seams on point with Gibsons setup but straight through (more like the old JBA Durango exhaust setup.)

Well it looks nice but here are the questions. Give a literal explination of how much louder it is than stock at startup, idle, and revs. Interior sound while driving (not talking about drone but sound level difference under light and WOT).

I am basically looking for the right exhaust that is slightly louder and more consistent across the rpm band vs just loud at WOT and not noticeable any other time.

Working on the videos but initial review....
Quiet on start up. Nice deeper tone. Under normal cruising conditions nice interior noise, only slight louder than stock, no drone. But step on the gas and get the RPMs over 3500 and it really wakes up and sounds amazing.

2019 RT exhaust play time
Well there is some work to do.

FamilyHaulinR/T you did well on that video. I hear a lot of flutter on the RPM decel. Is that as prominent in person? You should get one similar to mine above stand back about 10 ft and at ear height.
No that isn’t that prominent in person don’t know why it made it so noticeable. Likely cause the camera I used isn’t some $1000 beast lol

Sooo... I ordered the stainless Gibson axle back today. Found it on sale for about $385. I’ve already done the suitcase delete and x-pipe, but still have the stock resonators on. I’ve been looking for a while for a good axle back kit to complete the system, and I think this Gibson is the ticket! Ordered some accu-seal exhaust clamps since it sounds like the included ones are garbage.

All of Blastin Bobs offerings I feel would be too loud w/out the suitcase on, considering this is the wife’s car. Had one of his kits on my 300c though and it was great quality for the price. Then I found a Corsa cat-back for cheap and that’s what’s on there now :)

Anyway, thanks for the info, and hoping it’s what I’m thinking!

Let me know how you like the sound with the x-pipe. I have one but haven't installed it yet
