Have an '08 Durango with a P0521code that will not go away. I have replaced the sensor and even taken it to the dealership for a pcm firmware update. Nothing seems to be working.
Anyone have any other ideas or maybe a solution?
Thanks

Bad wiring to the sensor? Bad aftermarket sensor? Factory sensors are recommended.

Welcome to DDN. When you say gauge, is this a mechanical gauge you have attached to monitor the oil pressure?
I ask, because I have never seen a Gen 2 D with a proper oil gauge. My '04 SLT 5.7L has an idiot light.
What PSI value is the gauge reporting?

Hey Don
Yes you are right...I was thinking temp Guage. What would happen is the oil dummy light would go off and on...and ding..driving me nuts...the last time it happened, it was just the check engine light came on...and stayed on.

Ok:
How many miles on the D? Since oil pressure is a major issue, if I were you, I'd temporarily hang a proper gauge on it, to be sure the oil pressure is not varying beyond what it should. Then, inspect the harness for critter or other damage would be next.
