Yep, sounds bizarre, but I'll be driving for several minutes and the air bag light will light a chime will sound and then the air conditioning light will go out and the AC will actually stop working as well. The fan is still blowing air, but it will eventually get warm. Similarly, the temperature control dial will stay on whatever setting it is currently on when the air bag light is lit and turning it will have no effect. So essentially the blower fan still works on any setting but the HVAC (damper door?) electronics all fail when the airbag light comes on. Then at some point later, the air bag light will go out (no chime) and the hvac controls will continue where they left off. So the AC will come back on or the temp control will go to wherever the dial was left.

Weird huh?
Any ideas?

Upon further research, it sounds like this is a Chrysler TIPM problem.
