I've read the other posts about what to check for in buying a used D. I'm only looking at 2003 models. Does the plenum leak still apply to the 2003 model?
Is there any other issues for the 2003 model I should pay attention to?
I read about the ctm and wiper motor recall. In order to check if these were done, a dealer shoud have a record of it right?
There are 3 models I'm looking at. They're all 4x4s and they ranged anywhere from 82,000 to 114,000km.

I bought last year 2003 D from carmax.com and forwarded it to Europe.
Checked all from autocheck.com and other sources and got one family D with one owner.
Make sure you check on all grounds and get yourself trouble free one. I couldn't be happier with mine :)

2003 was a pretty clean year.

The BJ recall didn't apply to '03s, but with any gen-1 D it's always good to check the ball joints :wall:

Where's this 03 R/T in Colorado Indy?

Sorry Castle02. Well I was looking to sell mine and get an 03 R/T if price is right of course. Let me know

Castle02, the best year in my opinion for the gen1 D would be the 2003. You mentioned that one of the units you were considering had 114k on the clock, that shouldn't be an issue, but be sure the vehicle has been well maintained, and sevice records are available. unfortunatly nowadays a man's word just isn't enough. Good luck, and keep us posted!!
