So I need some input as which way to go with it, I'd like some thoughts please. There are 3 I'm looking at but if you think other let me know. I'm getting rid of the red color

there's a WHOLE LOT missing to this story. Enjoy wasting $ on a repaint that isn't going to make a damn difference if you don't change whatever it's that's getting you pulled over. Cops don't look for the color of a car to pull it over, they do it for people breaking the law. (well most of the time at least!)

I don't get it. A paint job on my stripped-down-to-metal musclecar is about $5K. That's from bare metal to the color of choice. Repainting a car, NOT the original color, for $700 just scares me. Door jams, underhood, etc, would be the original color anyway, and would no way be included for the low $700.
Besides, remember 'Kiss of Death' circa 1990s with David Curuso, you can paint the Explorer another color, but it'd be still be RED.

Well its not the cheap paint job I mentioned it'll run me about $2000, it's at my familys paint shop if I want to do it right. I already have filed harassment against the pd, I have been stopped many times with lame excuses and no tickets and no reason to pull me over, on my way home from work a lot. I'll see how things go but I like to paint it

I say sell it and buy something the color you want.
IMO you must be doing something wrong getting pulled over so much.
I drive a red '78 TransAm all summer and I've NEVER been pulled over in it in the 6 years I've owned it, and it has a loud aftermarket exhaust, and I'm never easy on the throttle (though I don't speed)
But anyway, repainting a '03 isn't going to help value any, and not to mention it probably won't look as good as stock, because you'll have overspray on things, and the obvious doorjam issues.

Well I have a place that's going to do all the paint and take it to the metal and repaint everywhere needed, the red is the second color it has had now, when I get it painted I'll take pics of it.

wow. 2 paint jobs already? I hope it all comes out good for you. I say, if you want it and can afford it, LET ER RIP! I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who look at my D and ask themselves WTF? Why in the world would that blow his money putting a fiberglass hood and custom stipes on a stupid SUV? There may even be those who wonder what Steve is high on putting all of that stuff on a D that never even sees mud or dirt.
I hope the paint is all you hope for and then some. Get a nice 2 tone on it or at least make it something that's yours only. :clap:

Yea its my grandpas paint shop, well great grandpas all in turn. The D was painted once before and they made it red.
