Well I was looking and didn't see anything, I have the 4.7 L currently and I want to do the 5.9 L swap in it. I know I'll most likely have to get an ecu and possible wiring harness for it and possibly the tranny., anything else that'll prevent me from switching to the 5.9 L, if I go with the 5.7 L Hemi then I can keep the tranny now but any input would help me out guys. Thanks

Nope.

Sell the 2003 4.7l and buy a 2003 5.9L. That's your absolute best idea. NOTHING from PCM to tranny to anything is going to match.

With the 4.7l, you could swap for a 5.7L Hemi however you'll need a new PCM, a TON TON TON of wiring, a TON TON TON TON TON TON of work? and you CAN keep your transmission.

And? the 2003 is the BEST Year, so you have that right.

IndyDurango <--- loves the idea of swapping 4.7ls for 5.9Ls?er? any real other motor :cheesy:

20 Rango,
Welcome to the DOC, and sure there'll be many others here that can help you out.

Hmmm, would you not be better off with the newer 4.7 engine? The 5.9 engine, however, does allow you to engage in many more future mods.
As Indy has stated, buying an 03' 5.9 will allow you to at least purchase the last of the dino breed engine, lol.

I believe there was one person on here or another site that did a conversion to a 5.7 Hemi with their 1st generation D.

Where can I pick up some nice lights and taillights. I found these:

Anzo Headlight, 1998-2003 Dodge Durango

Spyder Taillight - Black, 1998-2003 Dodge Durango
Good choice on the "halo" headlights. I got mine off eBay for about $75 cheaper. I have to say, they're really nice, and I get a lot of compliments on them. The only thing is though, the fitment isn't as snug as stock (but that's to be expected) and the blinkers are LED's so they blink as if there's a light out. No problem tho!! I haven't dealt with the taillights, but those are nice!!

How do you get like the Grille inserts maybe they're, change from the stock to the nice cool silver one inside your hood?

Oh man, Indy?Skitzo and I saw all those gas stations when we were moving the Celica from Connecticut to Washington. We also saw a chain of convenience stores called "Kum and Go" :bugeyed:

We were afraid?VERY afraid!!

Rod, I think that the pinnacle of the Sinclair company and it's stations predate all of us by a few years. They were a large fuel retailer in the 40s-60s. Now I know they're still in smaller towns in AZ so I assume they're out west there somewhere. I stopped there on purpose because I hadn't been there before and found it oddly interesting to use oil from a place with the origins of oil worked into their signage :)

As for the Kum and Go? never seen one of those

Yes like the posted pic one, how to do it lol

20D03,
I have the SS Grill inserts, and they just clip in (no cutting required .) Think I got mine from Stylin Concepts a few years ago, but you can purchase from eBay. I also have the one-piece Euro or diamond headlights, and personally don't care for the Halos.
