For claims on bumper to bumper limited warranty do you all go to the dealer you purchased from or can you go to a different local dealer? I wasn’t sure if a different local dealer would give it the time of day as I’ve had enough trouble working with CDJR dealers I did buy from in the past.

Some issues at less than 5k miles on my 2024 DDSRT

  • paint bubble on hood below the scoop
  • center console leather starting to peel/get rough, only a matter of time before it starts flaking
  • sun roof seal popped out on one side, noticed today, not sure if it’ll leak
  • paint chipping off of lights out SRT black painted wheels
  • tons of clear coat paint swirls (I’ve never taken it through an automated wash, generally just rinse it off and do a touchless occasionally )
  • creaky/loose lower plastic part of the SRT steering wheel
  • tons of vibration/creaking on driver side door panel

This thing must have been built on a Friday. My 2020 DD R/T and 2018 base R/T Charger had much better build quality.

Have you all had much luck getting anything like the above fixed or have any advice on how to approach it?

Some of your complaints are in the grey zone of wear and tear, vs warranty work..why would you not go back to the selling dealer? If you bought out of state to save some $ then you need to plead your case with the locals..

I mean, maybe normal wear and tear after a couple years… like I said had a 2020 DD R/T with none of these issues previously and put 45k miles on it. I’d say most of these things are failing abnormally… especially the sunroof, paint, and center console issue. This is not normal for 3 months of ownership bought new and no machine washing.

Makes me wonder if the dealership used the wrong chemicals etc when keeping this one detailed for the floor.

Go to the dealer. They will fulfill any warranty issues for repair.
I feel your pain! Trust me on that one!

If it is any consolation, I had a 2018 Jeep Trackhawk that was an absolute POS.

-Tires cupped from brand new - sat too long somewhere. Only 6KMs on vehicle. More of a dealer fault if anything. They replaced with new factory tires right away. No questions asked.
-mysterious clunk at rear - turned out to be a bad sway bar link and a bad upper control arm bushing.
-1 rotor mysteriously warped at 5000 kms
-Battery failure in first year
-Radio system malfunction - would shut off and restart at random times
-full on failure to start - turned out to be a bad PCM
-wiper motor failure - related to the PCM as well
-failed suspension control module.
-side skirts warped underneath
-leak through front windshield in heavy rainstorms

Sometimes you just get some bad luck. This was supposed to be something I would drive for quite a few years. But no.

Anyways...the good news was that everything was completely replaced under warranty, no questions asked. It wasted a lot of my own time going back and forth through a year.
I had very low KMs on it as covid happened a year after I bought it. (got it in 2019 - New old stock)
I paid a very competitive price for it and was far under market value as the dealer had it on the lot for 275 days and was loosing money on it.

After it was all fixed, I drove it very little and the used car market went nuts around late 2021. I sold it for 20K more than I paid for it, which was incredible and unheard of but reality at the time. I lost nothing other than my time.

I ended up driving my wife's 2022 Jeep Cherokee for a couple of years as she worked from home. We decided to go down to one vehicle but needed something larger with a few more seats and carrying capacity. I traded hers in and got a new 2024 Durango Hellcat and it has been absolutely fantastic for almost a year and a half now. Not saying this one will be perfect because sometime down the line, something will break. I do have a 7 year warranty on it so I'm good with the bigger repairs being covered as needed.
