Hey everyone,
My power locks don't seem to be working anymore. Key fob will blink the blinkers when I hit the unlock button and honk the horn when I hit the lock button but the actual doors won't lock or unlock (starting the car, and opening the liftgate work fine with the fob). There is a click coming from the area of the glovebox when I hit the lock/unlock switch inside the car (driver side and passenger side switches) but the locks won't actually do anything. Driver door locks/unlocks easily by putting the key in the door and turning it. I checked fuse F14 (listed as power locks on the fuse box) and it looks good. Did a search and others seem to have intermittent or weirder issues combined with window issues. Mine is just the locks, window switches work fine. Any ideas what it could be?

I remember reading about someone who had the same issue with a JGC and he reported solving the issue by repairing the door lock module behind the kick panel. Module was not identified but I don't believe he was talking about the BCM which is behind the glove box or in that area.
The issue was with pins on the board within the module that are friction mounted had become loose. He soldered them secure and it fixed the issue.
So I've not checked the FSM, but sounds like that module might need replacing or repaired.

Do you know where you read that by any chance? I've seen where there was an issue with RAMs and the window switches having bad solder joints but in those cases it seems as though the master still works and the others don't.

I can't remember if it was on a Jeep forum...or comments on a youtube video...I do remember it was a '14 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had the issue...same as yours..door locks wouldn't work though he had the light flashing and his windows still worked.

From what I have been reading it may be the CTM that the guy fixed. At least that matches the location you mentioned. I've only seen it referenced in the Gen 1 and maybe gen2 discussions. Not sure the gen3 has one there. Won't hurt to check though.

Hey, I need to refresh this topic. I have similar situation. DD SRT 2021. Power locks not working. I can engage and disengage the alarm, open the trunk, start an engine so the fob is not an issue. Lights blinks as usual, but power locks do not work. Same using buttons on doors.

However, if I wait 10-15 second to speed and temperature backlight to come off, then power locks work for one operation. Then I need to wait again and after 15 seconds I can lock it unlock a car.

Please, any ideas?

Hi, few hours in the garage later. Somehow a signal wire from handbrake was damaged and was putting + into BCM. For now I've isolated this wire and later I will look work damage. Maybe there is a problem with a handbrake switch.
