My father-in-law has this can he uses out back for burning stuff and it was in bad need of a repair job or a replacement with holes burnt right through it.

Well, I just happen to have some extra metal laying around and an idea for the repairs

The BEFORE?

That's what's known as an aggressive hood project!

:? Sure seems like it'd have been just as easy to go get another barrel!!

Now you're really messing up. You're thinking logically.

But it wouldn't be an Indy Barrel then would it?

I've learned that logical thinking doesn't apply here. After all, if it did everyone would have a 'DA' D!! We the Purple, unite!!

Aside from that, I'd have just got another barrel but that's Missouri thinking.

At least you know a good insurance agent should the Barrel do a complete meltdown!

When I didn't live in the city we used to use a barrel for our trash, except we burnt a lot. We used a pickaxe to put holes in the barrel and they held up pretty good, I think it was over a two year span. The holes helped with the heat/burning better during the winter and helped some with any paper products or flying ashes. We were always on hand though with a hose as, with 6 acres of open field as our backyard, it was something we wouldn't want going a little stray.

I don't know if this will work for you guys but I lived here before moving into the city. It should be somewhat centered and my house is at the end of the loooong, looong, driveway- unpaved, gravel main road, only one close neighbor, only thing annoying was my mother's horses. I do miss it out there. That satellite photo was back when I had my Dodge Ram.

What's with all the wires running in your old hood?

That's a lot of wire!
(Missed those pic's somewhere? :? )
