Well. The 5 year wait has finally come. It's been a long learing curve in building a hot rod Durango. I've had lots of ups and downs with the build but I never gave up. As of this wek I'm on the street in a limited apperance this year. I still need to finish the track test which is in the next few weeks. I hit the street up here in Detriot for the Woodward Dream Cruise and the Doakota RT nationals. This pictures shown are in the parking lot at the Chysler Museum. Here are pictures of the Durango that haven't been seen before.

Hit the lot, start that Beast and really hit the streets.
Looking good all together.
Looks like a lot of work paying off.

Very clean and well done. The flames are great. A great project never happens overnight, but takes a long time to come to fruition. You have done a really great job. Is it coming to the plant tour?

Did you not look at those photo's??

I guess I'm partial.
It's Flame Red.

Hell, I'll ride the back.

Maiden Voyage??

Heavy D,
Very nice D indeed, and for sure your hard work over time has paid off. Can you also post some pics of the rear bumper and exhaust. Congrats on a work well done.

Great job Dave. Even if it had the stock motor it looks impressive with your attention to details! Can't wait to hear what kind of times it'll run when you get it dialed in. Keep us posted!

Thanks everybody for your very kind comments

I do plan to try and make 2 more events this year. One is the plant tour. I just need the date to be finalized on my schedule and I hope some of you guys can make the Dakota RT fall meet at Cecil County race track. The Ram guys from Dodge truck world will be meeting up to make it an all Dodge showdown. It'd be cool if some of the Durango guys would show up. I hope to be race ready for this event. I think the time frame is in November but no date set.

I also want to give thanks to the couple of people that really made this custom build happen. Without them in my life you wouldn't see the beautifull pictures you see.

Dan Arcand (Fastman) for helping build the 416 cu in R3, he also led me to a very special person that made this truck really happen.

Bob Kennedy of Kennedy's dyno tune. The resources he has is what really made this truck happen. He knew the people to help me make it happen. He also deserves the credit of building and creating a true hot rod motor. He has found a way to basicaly put a race motor in a street truck and make it all work. It's been a lot of work and he deserves all the credit.

Last Bob Kennedy's son Sean Kennedy. He owns a custom paint business and really only paints motor cycles. He's the one who did that bad ass paint job you see. The demon rams heads is a sight to see in person. The flames have so many seconday layers in them it keeps you looking.

Very scary wicked cool. Think that covers all of it. Its obvious you've spent many many hours into the design and build, job well done I'd say. Love the interior, and the engine bay is outa this world! Great job.

When are the dates of the event at Cecil County? I assume that's Cecil County Maryland? Hopefully it's a weekend that I can make it up there.

They're looking into the first weekend of Nov but nothing set in stone yet. I'll post something about it when I get more info

Heavy D,

W-O-W-! Very cool. I couldn't be more proud to own a Durango and to have another in the "family" like yours. Congrats!

BTW, retaining the rear seats AND adding the harness belts is completely a classic. Excellent!
