Yesterday I went to my friends house an I had 33 miles till empty an it was only 17 miles so I got back around my town an notice I needed gas an it was just on E but mind you ive done this plenty of times before yesterday, So I get the gas & my car wanted to start but wouldn’t I had my husband come up an he took off Air filter just in case it was choking & Sprayed starter fluid an it would start for a second then shut back off . Could I F”d up my fuel pump or maybe Sucked some dirt in their to we’re it stop it ?

Welcome to DDN. The practice of regularly running your tank that low is not a good one for many reasons.

When you do this, you get the level down to the point where any crap in there could block the flow into the filter mounted onto the pump. In addition, the pump sits in the fuel which helps cool it, so you are not getting that benefit when you run it low.

BTW, many vehicles that have run out can require up to 5 gallons to be added before they will start, especially if they are not sitting level.

What benefit do you perceive by running around with such low fuel levels?
Myself, I rarely go below a quarter of a tank. You save no money by doing this.
