Hello. I have a question about the liftgate. The opening and closing from the remote control on the handle works, as does the button to close the trunk, the button on the roof does not work, there is no reaction to opening and closing. Has anyone had this problem?

so I tried holding the button longer, not working.
There may be a bidirectional scanner tool that can test the buttons and board function. Obviously the signal, logic, power and motors are working since you can activate it with the remote. Not sure if the button contact uses a metal spring disc conductor, conductive rubber type, or other mechanism. The metal spring disc conductors are more subject to deformation by using excessive pressure.

That button will only work if the car is in park. Are you in park when you press it?

yes i am in parking mode. i guess i need to take the console off the roof and look underneath.

what does it mean to rework? what had to be done with the cables?
For me, there was a pin for G25 circuit that was loose so the module could not determine whether the circuit was open or closed. They tightened that pin connector which fixed the operation of the lift gate button

do you have to remove the seats to get there?
Yes the third row seats and left side quarter trim panel were removed to access the power lift gate module.
