Slightly off topic:

Has anyone bought a Hornet? I have never seen one on the road.

Has anyone bought a Grand Wagoneer? I have seen 2 - 3 of these over the last year, not that impressed with styling.

I've seen "1" Hornet on the road...

And there are at least two Wagoneer owners here that switched from the DD to the new Wagoneer- and they love it.

A parent on my kids soccer team has a Grand Wagoneer. It seems like a nice car but it's HUGE. It's much wider and bigger than you expect it to be in person.

Seems like a Cadillac Escalade would be an equivalent car.

I haven't seen a hornet on the road yet either. That's a tough marketplace to compete in. Cheap small cars are a dime a dozen and some of the Japanese brands have differentiated themselves with quality and long life which translates into their cars maintaining value longer. The hornet seems like a car that will lose value fast and be difficult to find parts for if anything went wrong.

Hornet way overpriced....GW style is a bit off...though the interior is top of the line.
I've rented several Wagoneer's and they drive and ride better than the GM triplets and have much better interiors. Would be my first pick in that arena if I was shopping there.

Seen a few of the Hornets but with Kia in the market at that price point it’s going to be hard to beat.

GW are common and look cool. Pricey but nice if that’s what you’re looking for something BIG, but I prefer Cadillac V. I do wish Ford would put 5.0 in SUV though... Lol

I've seen a few Hornets on the road in the past few weeks. One or two Grand Wagoneers, but a number of regular Wagoneers. Neither are on my list for whenever the 2014 bites the dust, though - I need something larger than the Hornet, and don't need anything the size of the Wagoneer.

I saw quite a few of them on the road during last week's trip from Mass to FL.. surprised me, because I had seen maybe one over the entire year before..

I got to drive a loaner Hornet GT for the past three weeks and 1,500 miles while I waited for my Durango to get fixed at the dealer. While probably not a car I would purchase, it was fun car to drive. Pros: Great driving dynamics, quick, comfortable for the front-seat passengers, heavily borrowed interior from an Alfa Romeo, and simply a very fun car to drive. Cons: mediocre visibility, back-seat is tight for anybody over 5'10", and very limited cargo space. Long term reliability is probably scary, but this car is under-rated in my opinion.

I got a loaner Hornet GT, I was NOT impressed at all. It's nothing different/special than any other small SUV in terms of performance/ride, I prefer the RAV4 or CR-V in those terms. The interior was the biggest letdown to me. The screen is tiny and far away, pretty useless for the reverse camera, while that has to be taken with a grain of salt, since I'm used to my Durango, it felt like my Mom's 2018 Subaru Forester, just out of date already. The biggest thing that infuriated me was the turn signal! It isn't like the Durango, where if you activate it it stays in that position until you deactivate it or it clicks back to the center position. The Hornet's would return to the center position, so if you activated it for a lane change, the turn signal stays on and it's back in the center and you have to go the other direction to deactivate it. Granted, most of the population now doesn't use turn signals, so probably don't care, but for me, super annoying.

When I was replacing my old Durango, I did look at other vehicle options including the Grand Wagoneer, before getting the new Durango. For me, as soon as I sat in the Grand Wagoneer, it was a no. I'm 6'3", and I set the driver's seat to the lowest setting, and it just felt too high. I couldn't describe it until a friend asked it it felt like I was sitting on top of the vehicle because of the driver's position. I stopped checking it out just from that, so I can't provide any input beyond that I found the seat and positioning horrible.
