Just traded in our 2014 Limited DD for a 2024 Citadel with 5.7L and Tow N Go. Love it.

Today we noticed that the 2024 DD does not have a lock button on the liftgate. On the 2014 DD it was a button to the right of the outside liftgate handle - this thread describes exactly what I'm talking about: https://www.dodgedurango.net/threads/who-knew-rear-lift-gate-has-a-lock-button.81445/

Once we found that button on the 2014 DD, we would use it a lot.

On our 2024 DD, there is just a little rubber nub, almost like a blanking hole plug. It's definitely not the protruding nipple-like button that we had on the 2014 DD. And the nub on the 2024 DD can't be pushed - it's rock solid. It's not a button or a broken button.

I haven't called the dealership yet but wanted to throw this out here to see who has what on their 2024 DD's for a liftgate lock button.

The lock button is described in the Owner's Manual, which would seem to suggest it should be present. But who knows.

Looks like Dodge has decontented your Citadel. Last year for the Durango I am surprised they have not deleted more things.
Dodge has been playing with removing features or not activating features since 2021 MY.

Ugh that’s what I was afraid of. Wonder if it’s possible to put the module in the lift gate. And wonder if I can claim the dealership owes it to me since it’s in the owners manual.

The window sticker said tow and go. And the vehicle says citadel on it. And we paid for it! It has the trailer brake adjuster on the dash so I’m pretty sure we got it. I’ll post the window sticker someday.

Can you post pics if your Citadel Tow-n-Go? I would love to see what it looks like. Side, front and rear pics please.

Maybe Dodge used some parts from the hornet since it is not selling. With your key in your pocket and standing at the tailgate (shut) wave your foot under the bumper on both sides.
See if it opens? That would be damn ass cool if it does.

The close button on our '20 SXT Plus is inside to the left on the "pillar" there. To open from the outside, you reach under and lift the latch/handle below the license plate.

OK! Long delayed but following up. Still haven't done anything about the missing lock button... other than go to a dealership and checking the ten or so 2024 DD on the lot - none of them have the lock button where it should be. Going to call around and find out how much it would cost to have it added in. But as promised here's the window sticker of our DD

And here are some pictures (before we put on the ZL1 mud flaps, which fit nicely but that's another story)

Such a sleeper, I love it. Looks like a fancy Citadel and I love the fact there are no HEMI badges on it.
You are a lucky owner as I am sure not many of that trim were made,

I don't have any helpful info for the OP, but I'm sure glad they are offering the Citadel models with the TNG package, specifically because I'm hoping (praying) that the more examples made with the big TNG/SRT/HC tires, the more likely it will be that another tire manufacturer will jump into the ring and product a run flat in that size.

There’s a destroyer grey Citadel TnG available not too far away from me (northern Illinois) for $55k that I almost went to look at but I got a good deal on my RT TnG. It has the two tone seats with the light grey which would be a bad idea with a 6 year old boy.

Yep, we were going for the kinda stealthy-but-still-pretty-tricked-out approach. We didn't want the hood scoop or the bright red brembo brakes or racing stripes. Can't see them in these pictures but the black brembo brakes are there and you can see them without looking too hard. It's kinda the "if you know you know" Durango.

We were watching inventory on the Dodge website and I saw this one before it was delivered to the dealership. We drove 3 hours to Maine to get it! And we're happy we did.
